I don't think forest are a good team in all honesty.

I don’t think they were that good second half, we were just absolutely hopeless constantly handing them the ball and initiative. All we had to do was keep the ball ffs and take the sting out of the game.

Beat a good team that's above us, gone up to 5th, seven goals, cup final on the horizon but how dare a game of two halves transpire.

Football doesn't work as logically as if you're 4-1 up at half-time then it must be something akin to 8-2 at the end. Overwhelming majority of the time when a games won at half-time the second-hal fizzles out and the losing team gets momentum

Forest weren't even doing anything. We just kept on handing them the ball in dangerous areas to pressure us continuously.

I don't know why it's so difficult to acknowledge how awful that second half was.

If Forest had actually changed things and stepped up massively, then fair enough, but that really wasn't the case.

Second half was shit, but also easy to forget that Forest generally don't lose after going ahead. We made it needlessly hard for ourselves once we were ahead, but I'd like to think it's a lesson learned rather than a pattern. We generally haven't capitulated like that from being ahead, in fact it's usually a strength.

They’ve only lost twice after leading, both against us albeit if so called Eddie Howe had any self respect he’d asked for the points to be given to them.

Forest are 3rd for a reason, it isn't just luck, they came out 2nd half determined to get something from the game and forced us into errors, they were as bad as we were good in the first, we stepped back as much as they stepped up 2nd half.

I think its rather arrogant to suggest that 2nd half was all of our own making, sure we didn't help ourselves but Forest believed they could still get something from the game and very nearly did with their belief and tenacity.

I think it’s abundantly clear we don’t have the players to control games. We’ve assembled a squad a players who want to be high up the pitch and out of possession.

It really isn't though, he was completely anonymous

Because our whole team decided to be shit and we were under the cosh.  What did you want him to do?

Sort of.  Strange innit?

Aye

I get we were poor 2nd half. But I'd spent all week reading that this was a "must win" game

We won surely that's the main thing.

They've had a good season but they won't finish in a CL position. They are in a false position and I said it before today's game FWIW.

Thought the amount of times we gave the ball directly to them both halves was alarming.

If we're as sloppy as that against Liverpool it could become nasty.

Burn in particular was shocking for losing the ball.

Only saw the second half, which was minging [emoji38]

Burn and Pope with the ball at their feet was appalling, generating Forest chances from nowt. Set piece defensive frailty. Not much nous on show to manage the game, or reserve energy.

Miley looked assured though.

Thing is, against arsenal over two legs we must have defended 25 inswingers successfully

Well you say successfully, I say luckily.  A bit like today.

They are third after 26 games, how can it be a false position?

I am ecstatic. Been happy as fuck since the whistle has blown for full time. Suggest most do the same. Enjoy the good times lads! Could have worse going on in life or in football that can suck the joy out of a 12 min demolition in H1.

Well pleased with the win, will be one exciting run in and we are right amongst it. But the sitting back tactic goes back to the man u game and it invites pressure because our possession isn't tight enough

Provides a bit of a tricky dilemma really, as it means we might need to go a bit more direct instead of playing it out. But that usually just leads to the ball coming back quicker.

We just need better players ultimately.
