thomas Posted Tuesday at 14:39 Share Posted Tuesday at 14:39 well now i'm questioning the legitimacy of the entire enterprise with this resetgate debacle.

Anyway, sorry, that's for a different day.
La Parka Posted Tuesday at 14:47 Share Posted Tuesday at 14:47 Trips is D/E. He's declined over the last year significantly - not sure if he's a good impact on the locker room but you'd think so - that boosts him up a bit.

Bruno's the one I'm looking forward to, now he's "been found out", "far too slow" and "not creative enough".
Super Duper Branko Strupar Posted Tuesday at 17:00 Share Posted Tuesday at 17:00 Trips gets a D. Ironic given his penchant for giving a D.

There isn't a good argument that he's in the top handful (as in top 3/4/5) of midfielders in the world - but he's clearly an elite PL midfielder. Cf Posted Wednesday at 07:14 Share Posted Wednesday at 07:14 After an early influx of Ds Trippier received a number of Cs giving him a final grade of C-. For maths nerds A = 5, B = 4, C = 3, D = 2, E = 1. Poll results then averaged which then map to a final grade. Anyway, next up we have Sven Botman. Potentially an interesting discussion given the injury problems he has faced...
Andy Posted Wednesday at 07:29 Share Posted Wednesday at 07:29 As a footballer, he's at least a B. But at the moment it's more like a "B..?". I'm curious to see what he's like when he gets a proper run in the side again.
54 Posted Wednesday at 07:29 Share Posted Wednesday at 07:29 Went C, mainly as it's hard to judge him ATM due to the long lay off, and at the very least he's never going to be worse that a C. If he gets a consistent run however I'm confident he'll easily be a B and possibly an A before long.
TheBrownBottle Posted Wednesday at 07:51 Share Posted Wednesday at 07:51 He’s a solid B, assuming that we have the power to rebuild him

Kid Icarus Posted Wednesday at 08:15 Share Posted Wednesday at 08:15 There's a gap between being B and C that I think a fair few upcoming players will fill, for Botman though I think he's an easy B.
Abacus Posted Wednesday at 08:17 Share Posted Wednesday at 08:17 Fit and on form, which is how I'm going to rate him, Botman is a B. Without that injury and given time to develop, he may well just be pushing at the edge of an A in a year or two. Though ultimately his pace may hold him back from that, he's just so calm and commanding and able to spot threats that in the right CB pairing he could be in that conversation, but not yet. La Parka Posted Wednesday at 08:19 Share Posted Wednesday at 08:19 He's a C with the potential to be B/A but it totally depends on his injury recovery and if he keeps breaking. Before injury he was B for me.
gbandit Posted Wednesday at 08:19 Share Posted Wednesday at 08:19 I put Botman as an ironclad B
Lush Vlad Posted Wednesday at 08:31 Share Posted Wednesday at 08:31 (edited) B. Needs to consistently get back to his form pre-knee injury. Then who knows, he could even develop into an A. When he came back last season before his op. He looked miles off it IMO. Luckily, when he has played this season. He has barely looked like he's had 9-10 months out injured or whatever it was. So let's all hope and pray..... That he is now fit for the rest of the season and beyond. We're clearly a much better team with him in it. Aye, was gonna say this. Pretty big gap between being one of the best players at your position and being a solid PL player. But doesn’t apply to Botman, injuries are the only issue with him IMO. Fully healthy I think he is a chance to push on and be a potential A, but he’s a B for now.
