reckon you have to go back well more than a decade to find a game I loathed as much as that that I attended.

 

I was already at a baseline poor mood cos of the game being so shit. Then when Gordon got a straight red... FOR FUCK SAKE I'd been thinking there's just three games where players have to avoid some stupid violent red that gets a 3 match ban, they'll all be sensible. We need everything to go our way to have a chance in this final and then THAT. And after Pope last time! And Bowyer/Dyer in our last FA semi. Can we not have nice things. No good could come of the game at that point, regardless. I was in a massive sulk, resisting hard leaving early for the first time ever. Even though I paid 30 pound I was in a posh seat that had an arm rest, and sunk in my seat with high blood pressure.

 

Then we score, and i'm hardly joyous, but at least we're through and i can go home. VAR. We're not through, I have my WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO FOOTBALL I have whenever a goal is disallowed by VAR, think it kills a bit of my love for the game each time. AND now I have to sit through another half an hour of this shit.

Schar-Burn for me doesn’t work anymore. We all know RCB is a priority position and Botman is injured but it is costing the team. I don’t blame the players or the manager and the club do want to fix it, but that’s the reality.

 

Got away with Murphy in the first half of the season but his form had dried up a bit and he makes some terrible choices in his own half.

 

 

 

The poorer players are dragging the team down.

 

I think teams have now realised Burn and Schar can be loose with the ball, and certainly Murphy.

 

We are suffering badly with their lax play, and it really unsettles the team, and then they all start doing it.

 

Quite disillusioned with things at the minute. 

 

If we end up outside of Europe, may be worth looking at making a big sale to properly build up the team.

Thought Joe looked really sharp in the first half and linked up with Gordon very well. Sandro's decision making on the ball was way off and not for the first time recently. Off it he was his usual all action self and made some crucial contributions. Frustrating game from him I thought.

I can begrudge the shitty them it - 1,100 fans for an FA Cup 5th round game on a 4 game winning streak. These financially pumped out south coast minnow clubs are severely fucking me off. Them and Bournemouth are absolute no marks and would love them to fuck off back to their normal habitats in League One.

Both had good moments, both gave the ball away a few times. They were mitigated by having to fight their way past 3 Brighton players usually, maybe we should be looking at why there weren't more options available instead.

One of the most fuming I’ve been leaving a game in a while that. We’d have never had a better chance at the FA cup in a long time. Timid display on and off the pitch. 
 

Mind the officials were shocking. Every contentious throw went their way. But hard to make excuses on a day we were flat. Proper de ja vu of the final in 2023.

They are a smallish club punching above their weight and it's a shocking journey with the trains being fucked between Newcastle and York.
