La Parka
1 hour ago, Smal said: watching the full game back. Our approach was interesting. Went really long and didn’t bother with any build up at all. Isak rarely won the header against VVD but we won the second ball the vast majority of the time because the whole midfield 5 were just there. Barnes and Murph went really narrow from goal kicks. Bruno was up against Mac Allister and just completely dominated him every time This was what stood out to me. It was possibly to avoid mistakes playing it out but we definitely bossed them in midfield. The second balls were our s all day. By turning it into a physical contest it played to our strengths. By avoiding little tiki taka nonsense we got the Liverpool players on the back foot. They won't be drilling defending long balls over the fullbacks - they will be drilling pressing in tight spaces. It was direct but with purpose. To be honest if we play like that very few can physically dominate our midfield. If you think about it everyone is pressing super high, trying to cut out passes around the back. If you beat the press by balls into channels you can follow up on the second ball and leave the opposition high up on the wrong side of the ball. I'm glad we were brave enough to break the meta. And the one time we tried playing it out, Bruno was caught with it and they scored. More of this football tbh.

Maggies
Trying not to be too dramatic but… It feels like there’s a world pre 16/03/25 and a new world we’re living in. People who I have mourned and totally comfortably talking about, I can no longer think of without shedding a tear. It was a privilege to live through something they would have loved just as much. My heart feels bigger. Whatever comes next - so be it.

Said he could see why everyone would say Burn or Joelinton. But he just reckoned he controlled the midfield from start to finish on and off the ball and with his game management (we’ll forgive that daft attempt at a drag back) Out smarter and outplayed them. Referenced the game at Anfield and how MacAllister got the better of him that night. But he couldn’t live with him this time around. They clearly don’t seem to like each other. No love lost between the Argies and Brazilians I would have went Joelinton, myself. Burn next by a fag paper.

Maybe Burn edges it because of the goal. I didn't even realise how good Bruno was live. He ate them. Honestly they were all fucking mint. Even Barnes was running around and giving absolutely everything.

Kloppette
Greetings, Barcodes. RedScouse here in peace. Through gritted teeth, congratulations on the cup win. Seriously, you deserved it. I was grumpy for a bit but then got over it surprisingly quickly. We were a bit... erm... pants for most of the match, until we finally woke up at the end. Too little, too late. Ah well. Bigger fish to fry, I just hope we don't balls that up too! I hope you're all recovering from your celebrations. Always rated you lot, a proud club and a great city. Howay the lads (apart from when you play us again!) Best wishes, Kloppette of Redland

Nucasol
Anyone found any sites selling decent photos/prints from the final? Desperate to get an A3 sized one of the team for framing but any searches are cluttered by the tat merchants on Etsy/Ebay.

It’ll be down to some kinds of agreement/licencing as to when it can drop. It’ll come. They’ve teased it with a few clips. Recently Tindal and Murph clip. Editing takes ages too. Dave
This is absolutely consuming my every waking moment, if I was up there I think I'd just be spontaneously cheering all the time. Get the fuck in. So happy thinking about it over and over again. We fucking did it. Take care everyone. 👍🏻
