gdm Posted Sunday at 15:28 Share Posted Sunday at 15:28 Really enjoyable day. Went from Airdrie in Scotland to Newcastle to watch a bus pass me for 20 secs but absolutely worth it and looking at the pics of all the crowds I’m proud to be a tiny part of it all. St James park was jumping
ponsaelius Posted Sunday at 16:29 Share Posted Sunday at 16:29 It was such a great day all round and I thought brilliantly organised by all parties, with a lovely family atmosphere. So glad that it didn't chuck it down too. On a personal level we made a full day of it taking the rents and my sis to Zucchini's for lunch, then had a wander up to Meli cafe at top of Northumberland Street for a coffee to watch the crowds build from the window. So many businesses in the city must have done well from the footfall. Once we got to about 4 we had an amble down past the Civic and got a roadside spot on the central motorway. Had no phone signal at all but that almost made it better not knowing where the bus was at - got genuinely quite giddy with excitement when it approached around the corner . Wasn't sure whether we'd bother with the Town Moor but given you could just follow the bus it felt daft not to - we ended up staying right to the end of the light show. Even the faff getting back home couldn't really spoil things - just a great buzz all day long. While I'm gutted we got knocked out of the FA Cup it was great that we were able to have yesterday - don't think we'd have been able to do it otherwise. Superior Acuña Posted Sunday at 17:22 Share Posted Sunday at 17:22 (edited) Watching this Brazilian report that Bruno shared and they’ve put the ‘going down for noncing’ chant on in the background (about 25secs in) https://www.instagram.com/stories/brunoguimaraes/3599786991552104054?utm_source=ig_story_item_share&igsh=bHZoeWVjaGVlYnZq The whole report is a great advert for the city in Brazil Edited Sunday at 17:32 by Superior Acuña

Chicken Dancer Posted Sunday at 19:13 Share Posted Sunday at 19:13 Was so glad I was able to get pissed on the moor - a copper even laughed when I made a half-arsed attempt to hide it when they were walking by us genuinely don’t think they gave a fuck. A class day from start to finish, the city was a special place to be.

Got some good photos of them. Edited Sunday at 20:40 by Heron

Wallace Posted Sunday at 20:57 Share Posted Sunday at 20:57 I am not aware of any other club (or even our own previous players) where the players seem to know all the songs and sing them so regularly. Guess that’s all down to Bruno. Never known a player with such an infectious personality.
