Bit gutted that tomorrow is 'back to normal', I want to stay in this surreal bubble [emoji38]

Watching them play again feels.... weird.

Anyway, Brentford are on five successive away wins, so this is a potential banana skin. Hope we're switched on.

Yeah, we’re champions. Stop the season for me. Loving this universal wave of positivity from the fan base.

I’m honestly not ready for everyone being labelled shit and need replacing again [emoji38]

Last away match Brentford lost in all competitions was 18th December!!!!

Newcastle away in the league cup to be precise....

They’ve had a queer set of fixtures this season.

At the start of the season they had a run of easy home games and tough away games, so they were getting all their points at home. Now that’s been flipped and they’re getting all their points away.

They haven’t won a game at home since they beat us on 7th December.

Just clocked that this isn't on TV. What's that all about? I get they can't show the 3pm blackout games but almost every evening game is normally televised isn't it?

Only when the midweek games are owned by Amazon or BT. These ones are owned by Sky.

Really big game tonight in terms of the league table, we need to capitalise on our game in hand over City & Chelsea.

Can't afford to go in to this flat after the heights of the last few weeks.

Let's get em fellas!

Buzzing for tonight, managed to score 2 tickets in level 7 safe standing (didn't realise this was a thing in the home end... Assume they haven't sold a large allocation) with the bairn, it's her birthday on Friday so she's buzzing and will be making plenty of noise... Hoping the party doesn't get crashed.

Was already looking forward to being in my usual spot and the crack with the lads around me after the cup, but this is better :)

Just be mindful it might not actually end up being a standing section.

As has been discussed on here before, it’s a bit of a grey area, as there doesn’t seem to be anything definitive from the club as whether it’s classed as a standing area when resold to home fans.  So if someone wants to sit / can’t stand, it can often cause a bit of conflict.

Cheers for the heads up

No UK TV for our first home game after all that is certainly a decision.

A decision that hopefully in a couple of years time will never be able to happen again. I cannot wait until the Premier League starts their own steaming service and put SkySports out of business.

Is there any chance of that actually happening? I'd be concerned the PL shills would package it in a way to benefit the cartel clubs even more tbh.

Putting Sky sports out of business would massively hurt our bottom line no?

Absolutely there is. Current TV deals end in 2028/29 so nothing can change until then but I'm almost certain it will change to a more modern model at that point. The fact the MLS already do it is a big deal.

Sky is paid by sponsors and customers. The Premier League with their own service, would be paid by sponsors and customers. No difference and in fact because ALL or at least a considerably larger amount of games would be shown then you could negotiate much larger fees from sponsors.

Thought I was going to be relaxed about the rest of the season.

But - I don’t feel that way at all. Eddie’s call to focus on rest of the season applies to the fans tonight as well. Bring it on!!
