His piece of skill got them down to 10 men

By “at times” I meant during games but 3 of his 7 goals in the last 3 months have been penalties, with only 1 assist. He was electric until the Southampton game then not so much since. Just reinforces the need for a proper second striker so he can have a rest.

I think it's worth pointing out that Ipswich also had a player sent off at Villa Park in the first half and went on to get a 1-1 draw 

 

they did us another favour by drawing 2-2 at Stamford Bridge 

 

so credit to our players for making it look so easy

Enjoyed that. Main thoughts are that: it was a decent performance, no one really stood out either positively or negatively, I love a Dan Burn goal, and the Ipswich fans were absolutely brilliant. First half was clumsy pre-red but we should've been 1-0 up thanks to whoever scored the farcical disallowed goal (Bruno/O.G.)

 That chalking-off basically postponed the training exercise.

 

Was looking forward to seeing Delap and refining my view on whether not we should sign him... he's definitely got something; direct and physical. Not convinced but if the link is true then I back the call.

 

Oh, and Miley is our fourth best CM. Play him, not Willock.

I don’t remember many great balls at all. He’s smashing this season despite being absolute run into the ground due to the lack of options to take the pressure off him.

That was the most routine win I’ve seen in a while. Maybe only Leicester was easier? 
 

Trippier unlucky not to get 3 assists. No real standout MOTM. Tonali was great again. Hopefully some of these shots that nearly break the goal frame. Start breaking the net instead.

He looks like he's injured so I give him leeway.

It did feel easy to me, especially after the red. Actually even after the yellow for diving I thought the guy would end up getting sent off. 
 

Yeah they were parking the bus quite well but I don’t see why we wouldn’t have found a goal eventually.

Take it for what it’s worth but Isak’s xG today was 1.53, his  joint highest this season with the last Ipswich game where he scored a hattrick. Even taking away the penalty it’s about 0.75.

For context Burn was 0.47 and Bruno was 0.29.

Isak was generally very tightly marked, there wasn't any space for him... or anyone else for that matter. They dropped very deep, he's generally better when he's got some space to run into.

Unfortunately Isak got caught in the mind of having to drop deep to get a touch after barely involved for the 1st 35 mins, then he didn't snap out of it after he was on it. On another day, he could have had about 3/4 goals from a combined distance of about 20 yards, but on the occasion where really good delivery came in, he was too deep to capitalise from it

Not as easy as the Leicester game (either one tbh) but they were absolutely disgraceful today, wasting time when they were 2-0 down...wtf were they doing man 

 

Such a shit side, they could have at least launched it to Delap and attempted to feed off his flick ons or his hold up play, they seemed to do absolutely nothing. That lad the mackems thought was worth £40 million was rubbish as well.
