Stifler Posted Friday at 11:58 Share Posted Friday at 11:58 (edited) You’re right @Froggy, we are obsessed with you and Man Utd, so here’s a thread for you. I think Wolves could be in trouble now that they are losing Cunha. How will Palace deal with European nights and league games, same with Forest. 20: sunderland. Froggy Posted Friday at 12:04 Share Posted Friday at 12:04 In the interest of making things interesting for a good cause Stifler, if we finish below 10th next season I'll donate £50 to the SBR Foundation.

Yorkie Posted Friday at 12:15 Share Posted Friday at 12:15 It'll be an absolute miracle if it's not the EFL teams again. It'll take a truly apocalyptic-grade self-sabotage from someone else to prevent that.

Mackems, Burnley and if they lose Mbeumo/Wissa, I think Brentford could be in trouble.
SteV Posted Friday at 12:52 Share Posted Friday at 12:52 The best way of staying up is to be solid defensively. How many teams have we seen come up recently scoring loads and loads of goals, playing a “refreshing brand” of football, then going down on sub-30 points. And to that end, I’d give Burnley the best chance of staying up, even if someone (👀) pinches their keeper.

MagPar Posted Friday at 12:54 Share Posted Friday at 12:54 I think that's 2 years in a row the promoted teams have went straight back down, so I reckon 1 at least will stay up. With Wolves, Forest or maybe a shock mid table team like Brentford or Bournemouth to go down. Leeds to battle their way to safety. Maybe Sunderland too. I'd chop off a hand to see Tottenham take that next step from 17th though. That would be funny.

mondonewc Posted Friday at 13:00 Share Posted Friday at 13:00 Brentford's a nice shout @CallumG6surprised they're so short, assume it's following the logic you mentioned. I want to oppose Forest next season but thought they'd be a bigger price for relegation. Mackems 4/1 to be the best of the newcomers is interesting. MagPar Posted Friday at 13:22 Share Posted Friday at 13:22 I forgot about 'The Ammers' innit. They've got a good chance of going down, or finishing 8th. You never never know with that bunch of thugs and dunce hat wearers.

Only club that may have a chance is Wolves if they don’t replace Cunha adequately but Pereira’s done a good job there. Still think even that’s a long shot tbh. Probably going to have to find a better goalscorer from somewhere admittedly, as Josh Brownhill hasn’t got a hope in hell of getting anywhere near 18 again. mattypnufc Posted Friday at 14:46 Share Posted Friday at 14:46 If Brentford are needing to sell PSR wise, they'll be in a bit of bother losing Kinder and Wissa. However I can't see the EFL lot staying up. It's an entirely different league to setup the way Burnley did and not be punished in the PL. The gulf is massive man. Abacus Posted Friday at 14:57 Share Posted Friday at 14:57 Spurs at 40-1 is still a VERY long shot. But, keep Ange for another half a season, their players lose faith, then make a dreadful appointment, along with the European schedule and then there's a very small chance a team like Burnley scrape together enough dour points to make it interesting. Do you even trust Postecoglu with making big signings in the summer for one thing. And there's just something about the way they surrendered in the league those last couple of game. ... But on second thoughts, nah. Still no. Burnley I reckon have the best chance of the 3, but that's still not much at all. It used to be the case that you could always expect at least one promoted team to spring a surprise season on you, Forest being one. Maybe that's the case this time too, but the last couple of seasons (so admittedly this could be recency bias) seem to suggest that's not really possible without taking a huge gamble. Deuce Posted Friday at 15:18 Share Posted Friday at 15:18 Championship or not, Burnley conceding *16* goals in 46 matches is an insane feat. If they can keep things tight at the back, they’ll have a shot at staying up. Their biggest challenge will be scoring goals.

Bournemouth, Brighton and Palace would be the dream relegation. Decimate the southern coast nonces and kick Parish in the face. West Ham could be a dark horse. In reality it’ll be the three Championship deadweights going back down.
