25m would be a really shrewd move. 30, 35+, etc and it starts to look less like a good deal. I doubt wages would be a big deal to come to terms on. 
 

If we could get him and Gallagher in the 25-low 30s range each I think the deals sound good and represents bringing the squad floor up significantly.

I think Wissa is a great player. And he’s too good to be sitting on the bench. Which he will be doing lots of unless there’s something I’ve missed.

Wissa will get stacks of game time with us. Isak is seemingly already injured for a start. He’d be a great player for a couple of years while we continue to build. Perfect Eddie player.

At this point I’d have Lomana Lua-Lua back if it means not redlining Isak until he’s hanging out or having to play Gordon up front.

 

Wissa seems a smart move, good finisher who’s shown he can do it on the premier league. Wages shouldn’t be an issue either.

 

Wonder what number he’s going to take at Spurs?

First, I wouldn't assume that Isak and Wissa can't play together. It's a little more one dimensional than say Isak and Ekitike/Pedro, but I can see a world where we are playing a variation of 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2 with both playing together.

 

But even if it is as an alternative, with the volume of games we will be playing, he won't be sitting on the bench a lot. We need to be in a position where we aren't afraid to rest Isak, even in the league. And when you have one the previous seasons top finishers as a squad option, it's much easier to stand Isak down when say a Burnley or Leeds come to SJP the weekend after big CL game.

This makes perfect sense like, we went for our primary targets, and weren't able to get them, so we're now pivoting to players that improve our floor.

3 of the 5 positions we’ve needed to fill, we’ve known about it for 2 years. The season starting in about 3 weeks and we’ve only landed 1 of them, a multi season chase at that - its bad. 
 

Ever since Staveley left we’ve really struggled to land our targets. With her we would sometimes miss out on our top target but we would get the next.

He's essentially a 5 year younger version of Wilson without the injury records so a good replacement from that perspective. 

 

Downsides are he's a CF only and nowhere near Isaks level so realistically won't be starting too many games. Technically he's also a bit scrappy and in my opinion players like that need to be starting regularly. Will be away at the Afcon too.

We signed Chris Wood for £25m when he was older than Wissa is now, and our PSR situation was even tighter back then. Factor in that Wissa is the better and more versatile player, even 35m would make it a sensible transfer.

Yeah, but Isak showed last season it very much can be part of his. His passing and general vision is massive overlooked. In a situation where they're both playing together it would be Isak who's give the licence to drop deep/operate more freely, with Wissa being the outright number 9.

Wissa is only a CF?  He plays AM and on the left also.  I believe he was only pushed further up the pitch when Toney left.

If the window were to end now, yes it'd be bad, but don't see why this window is being so catastrophized when there is still so long until it closes and we're still actively looking to improve and make deals. Especially when a lot of the information comes second hand from journalist who have column inches to sell.

Don’t think it makes sense to change your best players role personally. Let him do what makes him the best.

I’ve only ever seen him play ST or LW. I hope he can play play AM, would make a lot more sense.
