This'd still be a good signing. Heck, it's A signing.

I can see us signing Wissa and a bunch of others with the Isak inheritance, forming a new identity, and having a great season proving a point to all who doubted/shafted us.

It's a good signing no matter what else happens. Of course we can't have him as our only senior striker

Yeah. If Isak leaves we are weaker regardless of what we do, but if we sign a bona fide replacement and Wissa, we've very much avoided disaster.

I can see that too - I completely trust Eddie to mould us into a team and although I don't want to lose Isak (especially not to Liverpool), if we get a decent fee I think we could do something great with it.

I'm starting to have doubts about the common sense at the top of the club mind you, and if we haven't burned our bridges I'd be asking Amanda to come back in on a consultancy basis. My main worry now is we have a hell of a start to the season and it looks like we'll be starting without full recruitment completed, players still bedding in, and others like Hall a few weeks behind schedule.

A sale of Isak with incomings of top ST, backup ST (Wissa), and quality CM, CB, GK, is a net gain imo. Things can still work out for us.

Agree if the quality is right, particularly the new top ST must be very top and the GK needs to be a top passer. Or shagger.

Agree, the issue wouldn't be having the money to strengthen, it'd be having the ability/nous to use it, and soon.

He’s Isak’s replacement, always has been. It’s fucking rotten.

Time will tell but if Isak goes we need another striker. That target might be the #1 next season, we have to wait and see how this plays out

I appreciate the optimism but, based on our performance so far, we'd be lucky to sign that many players by the year 2032.

Yes, but only if there is someone appointed to actually do that. Instead we are now only open to start planning of preparations to discover potential targets

Need to do and succeed in what Spurs failed with after they sold Bale. Eriksen was a big hit but the likes of Soldado, Paulinho, Capoue and Lamela were hit & miss. If we could pluck a Kane out of the academy in the next year or so it'd be a bit handy too like.
