Such a submissive response. Yeah because there’s such a profound lack of options out there between a Šeško / Joao Pedro and improving on Callum ‘1 shot on target in 18 apps’ Wilson. The club shouldn’t get points for failing. We are literally the laughing stock of the league again and it’s not because of too much ambition or Isak wanting to fuck off.

Im seeing this quite a lot this summer. There are plenty of players in between the “crap” and “£50+million, starting for their clubs Premier League players” range, we just either haven’t bothered to scout them or Howe is being far too picky. Today’s links with Ramsay is another example.

 

Either way,  It shouldn’t take nearly 3 months (or a year in reality) to improve on what was left of Wilson.

Tbh I think Isak has enhanced our reputation. He's taken the heat off the club by acting like a complete arsehole and indisputably wrecking a transfer window that without his antics would have had more fingers pointed at the club.

 

This idea that the club is infallible though is ridiculous tbh, without the Isak debacle not having a Wilson replacement in is really poor.

The other point of course is that there is no guarantee that we get Wissa, what with our inability to get a deal done when there is any sort of credible competition for a signing this summer.
