“During these conversations, it was confirmed to me and my representatives that the club would not stand in my way if a reasonable offer was received. This was also put in writing.

Completely different to Isak if that's the case. How folks are reacting like it's just the same as the rat is beyond me.

If he had assurances in writing that he could leave upon receiving a reasonable offer, then the situation is somewhat different to Isak, but it really depends what a "reasonable" offer is defined as by Brentford.

Regardless, I don't really want any player that strikes to leave his club for us, to be honest.

What a sad state of affairs.

Unfortunately a fair offer to Brentford is considerably higher than what you maybe want Yoanne, especially when you consider what a tumultuous summer they've had.

Never known a window like it

Also, him putting this statement out suggests even if he has something in writing it's worth absolutely nothing

Otherwise he'd have pursued a legal avenue much sooner but if it's an email saying "after our discussion today we are happy to confirm if a reasonable offer is made we will accept and let you leave" then that is as useful as a chocolate fireguard

Cant be doing this. Disrespectful to club and fans. Don't want Isak, dont want Wissa. Don't think the club would want them either.

He needs to shut up and play..if its in writing then it would stand. Thats probably a lie.

There's fans that will abuse players in the street when they're with their family and go on their Instagram pages that all their friends and family also view and post abusive messages, just because they are struggling and playing poorly. This was what was done to Joelinton.

I really don't want to hear anymore nonsense about players being disrespectful to fans when they pull these stunts, because there's fans that are no better than these guys.

We are three games into the season and Thiaw has already been labelled Bramble/Boumsong and Elanga an Adama Traore, and there's people ready to escalate and shit on them further all over social media for the players to have to hear about and see for themselves.

Thankfully most of the time these sorts of clowns just end up looking stupid when the players start delivering, and then comes the back tracking and fake over the top fawning.

As long as fans like this exist then players like this must exist also.

Taking it at face value, Wissa had a written agreement he could leave, Isak had nothing of the sort. It’s a very different situation.

It really depends on whether "reasonable" is defined in writing. Because Brentford may not see £50m as reasonable if it leaves them in danger of relegation. They'd likely also argue that 19 premier league goals is worth more than that in the current market.

£65 Million for a 29 year old (nearly) even if he had 3 years left on his contract is an unreasonable ask IMO but with 10 months left it's outrageous..

Not when him leaving potentially relegates the club. Age and contract length become irrelevant at that point.

Because just like Isak it’s very vague. Show what was put in writing, tell us what the specifics were.
