Just looking at his goals, the one thing that stands out is that hes the most alive player in the box. Hes first to every ball. Good in the air too.

Exactly what we needed last 3 games

Dan Burn front and centre welcoming him and Woltemade in the last few days. Bloke represents everything I fucking love about the club. He’s what I’ll remember from the cup final.

I was pretty critical about him during that spell where he got hung out to dry at left back.  Looking back, it was foolish in the extreme.

Since he has been more of a prominent figure in the group, done more media, popped up on Instagram etc.  He just seems like a thoroughly nice, down to earth bloke.  Who is living the dream, whilst being a shit hot defender at the same time.

I'm not sure I have ever seen a player in my lifetime for NUFC that appears to be more deserving of success and the adulation he receives.  He has done it the hard way, for sure.

The two Wigan fans and one Fulham fan I know still absolutely love him.  Small sample size, granted   But it's always a good sign.

The criticism was warranted, he’s not good enough at LB. Completely different story at CB and a lovely bloke.

Oh for sure.  But he was always doing his best, playing through injury at a point and I think and I probably took it too far.  Especially considering how much he clearly cares and wants to play for this club.  Unlike another snakelike individual who has just left, for example.

Used to think he was a chill dude but now I just see a completely soulless cunt.

Never warmed to him personally. Hoping this whole experience is an educational moment for people that chill dudes aren't necessarily good people - the two get mixed up a lot.

Just seen DR Congo have got Benin and Botswana in their AFCON group FFS.

Thing with AFCON is that so many games end up being 1-0 or 0-0, it doesn’t take much for a supposedly ‘better’ team to have a bit of bad luck and end up going out.

liked that we got Cisse to do the welcome message to him. I know he turned abit shit in the end but can't help having abit of love for ol' Papiss.

That Jan-May period when he first signed was arguably the best collection of goals ever scored by an NUFC player in a limited period of time.

Just posted this in the Rat thread, but really as much about Wissa, so wanted to share here too.

You should do yourselves a favour and watch Isak's official interview. I have never seen a more detached interview, lacking any kind of genuine happiness and personality. I guess the last we should know as he never really showed that with us either.

When he is asked why he chose Liverpool, all it was as someone else said was generalised things that could be said about any top team. No specific mention to anything about Liverpool history or players. You could just sense all he was thinking was "for the money".

Contrast that interview with the Wissa one. He is genuinely happy, talks about specific things and players from the past, and with his personality I just think he will fit so much better in and make the team even better than with the rat in it. Even if he is not as good at their best. That said I think we will see much more consistency from Wissa.

Also, the lack of any kind of mention from Isak or the Liverpool interviewer about his old team, even if it's just teammates or Eddie, what he achieved with us, etc. is actually stunning. Is says a lot about both him and Liverpool. Even Wissa was happy to talk about Brentford and all the people and things he appreciated, despite how it ended. He knew how to separate the board from the day to day football people and was happy to talk about, and we were happy to give Brentford some credit.

He and Liverpool fit together and watching the two interviews has made me feel so much better about it all. I really feel we are much better off than they are after all this.

Can't wait to see Wissa in black and white this season. Ignore his age, he's going to be a legend here, I think his finishing is top notch. In a month's time we'll be over Isak and congratulating ourselves on replacing him with 2 for the price of 1.
