joeyt
Never seen Eddie as raging as he was when Wissa just let a Man City player go past him on the edge of their box without pressing him in the first half
Checko
He's outperformed his xG every year he's in the premier league, he's a perfectly decent finisher. Just need to give it time for things to average out.

It's like asking Nick Pope to play out from the back or Anthony Elanga to control a football. We need to stop asking our players to do things they can't do well. Optimistic Nut
How many of his goals at Brentford were first time finishes? Murphy's crossing is brilliant but from I've seen, I don't think it meshes with Wissa. I don't think he's a pure first time finisher like Isak was. Don't think it's either's fault, but think we need to play to his strengths and I don't think the early whipped ball is that.

Minhosa
Played like Papiss Cisse tonight. The one currently playing for Wythenshawe. No shit, tonight that was like watching an over 40’s player whose knees have gone. Painful. Clearly not fit, nor sharp. Fucking mental amount of money for a bloke who’s gonna have to pull up trees to ever get close to justifying it.

He's been injured for like 5 months, plus didn't have a pre season (Copyright Ratboy) and you didn't expect him to come back rusty?

It worked with Isak because he's world class. Murphy's putting them on a plate but it's on his weaker left foot, going to need an outside of the right foot finish, or quick control and finish. It might just be he's not yet up to speed but might need to find a different supply. At Brentford their RW was Mbeumo who was all about cutting in. It's a different type of supply all together at the minute. Edited January 13 by Optimistic Nut

We paid that amount of money for him because he was a PL ready striker that hadn't missed a game through injury in over two years. Unfortunately that changed before he had even joined us, and he's still only just coming back from a bad injury.

Impossible to justify that sort of commercial decision making imho.

I thought he might be rusty yeah, but I didn't expect those levels. I like him a lot and think he'll be good fwiw, and I could care less about the transfer fee, but he was alarmingly poor tonight. I'm not the least bit worried about him. I would like to see him paired with Wolte more mind
El Prontonise
He looks more of a wide forward than a no 9.
Optimistic Nut
3 of his 19 goals last season were from right-wing crosses watching his YouTube highlights from last season. None of them in the Murphy-whipped in style. I know he must do better but if we're not playing to his strengths (a fair few of his goals were from balls played in behind and tapping in from chaos caused by their corners & long-throws) then we might have a problem. Ginola14
Isak missed a hatful of easy one v ones last year frustrating as it is I've seen enough to think he has a lot to offer Edited January 13 by Ginola14

I dunno if it's impossible to justify. We were in a very difficult position because of the Isak saga dragging on until the last days and, to replace him, we needed to find as close to a guarantee as possible. Wissa scored 19 PL goals last season and we paid a premium. Also he's 29 but with half the amount of fixtures at the top level under his belt than most other players that age. I honestly don't think we need to get too hung up on the fee we paid for him, especially when there's so much more to come. Elanga though... yeah, it's becoming harder and harder to see how he is ever worth that much.

Optimistic Nut
I actually thought he did really well with his headed attempt. Ferdinand was saying he didn't time it but I think he did well to get it up and over. Was a very good save.

He scored like 12 goals for Forest last season and looked every bit of a an Eddie Howe player and is still youngish. I'll back him to become good as well, despite his slow start. Yorkie
I do too. But it does look like an overpay, even if he does. I predict Wissa will bang them and £55m will feel like decent value.
Ilovetoon8788
Another signing that I really pray doesn't turn out to be a disaster. I think it's just the lack of match fitness and he didn't really train wirh us in the beginning. But at the current moment he's worse than callum Wilson.
