11 games, half of them as sub? After no pre-season really and a fair injury. We overpaid, but didn’t have much else as an option. Still early days imo. He did look way off it tonight.

Partly why the suggestion of giving some pitch time on the wing where he played really well for Brentford and has a little less pressure.

There's just something about the way he plays up top that I can't put my finger on but just doesn't feel right for a number 9 in our formation.

If I had to choose between Wissa and Wolt to take a punt on and built the teal around it's the big German even though they've both got flaws.

He will score a few goals, but they will be opportunistic ones in and around the 6 yard box and not where he's a focus of a play

Like his movement and box instincts.

Not looked a player mind.

He does everything right until it's time to hit the ball into the net.

Aye keeps snatching.

It’s that bit of class and composure we would see from Isak and Wilson.

I do like Wissa. But I’m not sure he’s Wilson or Ba level which is not great considering the money spent.

Let’s see.  I do like him.  He will score for us. Today we just needed that bit of quality you hope you get for £55m.

If I recall they were not at the top of our list of targets. We settled/panicked.

Really bad day at the office for our strikers

With top strikers you can almost see them take a second - a pause - steady themselves - almost exhale before they shoot. Aguero would stamp his standing leg firmly down. Kane sometimes pauses or takes small steps. Isak has the uncanny ability to sort his feet out. Mbappe does a pause too.

Tonight Wissa rushed everything.

He is another on a long list of NUFC players who isn’t the best on the ball. His touch, link up play and passing is often lacking. Offside as much as Cisse and all.

But he does suit the system and helps stretch the play.

I think he’ll be far better next season with some proper time on the training pitch to get up to speed. Fitness wise and also getting used to the tactics and his role.

He’s just an OK Premier League striker. He may be the Wilson replacement, but I don’t think he’s as good as Wilson was a few seasons ago for us.

I don’t think our ‘system’ is kind on whoever we’re putting up top though given the wingers are usually line hugging.

Reminds me a bit of Cisse tbh. The offsides. Great movement when not offside. Snatching.

So he’s due a crazy purple patch.

Disappointing so far, despite the goals scored.

I'm more disappointed by him not getting shots on target (42% in four seasons at Brentford) than the linkup play, but yeah, he's probably snatching at them. Its also still a small sample.

Very surprised by just how shite he's played the last two times I've seen him; certainly wasn't expecting him to look so rusty.

We really, really could do without it too because his arrival into the team was supposed to give us an uptick after Woltemade, bless him, clearly needed sitting down.

I can't believe he won't come good though. He's got great instincts and forces us up the field. Standard that a guaranteed provider of assists (Murphy) is now injured.

Lead the press well and provided plenty of good movement. Poor on the ball though, snatched at an early effort and fluffed a through ball to Gordon. Cracking save from Trafford for his header, so a bit unlucky too.
