An odd season in many ways.

 

Can’t think of a goal that was definitively and obviously his fault. A couple (Spurs, mackems) that probably resulted from his indecisiveness in dealing with crosses. 
 

But then, the Man Utd game apart, I can barely remember him making a save of note.

 

The exact opposite of Pope basically.

Had a handful of okay games but that's where it starts and ends. Still remember being in the Gallowgate during Chelsea at home and that free kick was very very saveable. That's what put Chelsea back in the game.

Dubs, Darlow, Sels and Vlach have all made a decent fist of being decent keepers once they left us .

Wouldnt be surprised to see him return honestly, Soton will be desperate to shift him.

He's not a terrible keeper by any means but he clearly doesn't communicate with the defenders well.  You could see clear hesitation from the defenders where they would be expecting him to come for a ball, or at the very least shout that he wasn't, and it led to mistakes and poor clearances.

Ultimately, players will prefer to play alongside someone they trust even if they're technically worse.

If I had to rank him amongst our recent keepers, he'd be below Rob Elliot but around same level as Karl Darlow.
