He's just like a geet big Bruno. Gets on the ball, holds it while he waits to see a pass, twists and turns, hides the ball from defenders, then makes his pass when he's good and ready. Lovely stuff

unless we change formation, probably only going to see it when we chasing a game.

 

It is an interesting puzzle to solve though. If we stick to the same formation then our wingers and some in our midfield 3 need be looking to go beyond him most of the time.

I missed the first half, but from watching the second half he really stood out for me. 
 

Coming in short, superb hold up play. He has a brilliant weight of these intricate passes in and around the box.

Again, he himself said in an interview Howe told him he sees Woltemade as someone playing off another striker in 4-3-3/4-4-1-1.

Wonder if that was why Big Joe spent so much time in the box tonight? He definitely stepped off after the subs were made, but for the most part he was further forward than usual

This kid is actually class. I know it was Bradford but his movement, shielding of the ball, touch and weight of pass is brilliant.

The delay during his 1 2 with Barnes was lush like

The quality of chances went up considerably as soon as he came on, because every ball into him just stuck and the decision making was excellent with it. 

 

Things stopped breaking down as much before we could create a clear chance.

 

This is a serious footballer. I like him a lot.
