I've watched both of the Germany games against N. Ireland and I don't think they played a single vertical pass into his feet across the 2 games. Looks like they have absolutely no idea how to use him, it's very odd

I agree.

For me, as a German, it's terrible to watch the way the national team is playing right now. I've enjoyed it almost my entire life. But unfortunately, things have been going downhill continuously since 2016. While we have a few very good players, as a team they're neither tactically nor physically strong. It's a real shame.

I'm looking forward to Saturday and hope that the Seagulls finally get a beating from us.

Yous Germans need to bring that old fashioned Sweeper back like in the 1990 world cup

In the German follow-up coverage, a little boy in a Toon jersey was shown holding up a sign and asking for Wolte's jersey. O0

I normally hate that shit but I’ll let it slide as I bet Big Nick loved it (assuming he seen)

They don't even do that either, he's basically ignored throughout the match. He's making runs all the time trying to create space and he just doesn't get the ball, even when it's the best option. Every single game he's played for Germany, it has been the same. The ball is played consistently back and forth from left wing to right wing through the midfield.

i feel like this must already have been done, and apols if so, but is the right song for woltemade based on "barcelona", the old freddie mercury number? "woltemade, such a beautiful big jorman" etc i mean you can conjure with it, rewrite it but is there something there? well i think maybe there is.

Not sure there is, but i admire sticking to the correct spelling of Jorman

Loving how quickly he's settled here, seems like a genuine down-to-earth bloke and much more personable than his predecessor. Howe has already squeezed a bit extra out of him, but its exciting to know there's so much more to come out of him, Howe will bring the very best out of him and figure out a way to ensure those players round him give him the best opportunity to be as prolific as he can be. He looks confident and I hope he has a real break out season.

Aye. Weird. That's a big part of his magic. Roll it into his feet and he'll find Wirtz and Gnabry and the attack can go from there.

It's one thing I love about Howe's system. It prioritises the striker.

Another headed goal for the 2m tall beanpole Jan Åge Fjørtoft said couldn't head a ball I see.

Well the ball came off his back/shoulder actually so maybe Jan Age Fjortoft was correct.
