For me, as a German, it's terrible to watch the way the national team is playing right now. I've enjoyed it almost my entire life. But unfortunately, things have been going downhill continuously since 2016. While we have a few very good players, as a team they're neither tactically nor physically strong. It's a real shame. He's making runs all the time trying to create space and he just doesn't get the ball, even when it's the best option. Every single game he's played for Germany, it has been the same. Howe has already squeezed a bit extra out of him, but its exciting to know there's so much more to come out of him, Howe will bring the very best out of him and figure out a way to ensure those players round him give him the best opportunity to be as prolific as he can be. That's a big part of his magic. Roll it into his feet and he'll find Wirtz and Gnabry and the attack can go from there. It's one thing I love about Howe's system. It prioritises the striker.
