Maybe should have come off to save him a little when we went 2 up but excellent "all for the team" performances from him. The lay offs and the no look quick passes/triangles being tried by the side since hes joined is a joy to watch when they pay off.

Can see the change in how he understands the press he makes has an effect. Even if it's just slightly bad touch or forced pass by a defender...proper game intelligence. He didn't have that 6 games ago

Be nice to see him have a shot on goal.

Not sure if your joking?

He had a good enough effort around 51st min it was going in but defender got in the way and went out for a corner.

His general involvement in play is really enjoyable but maybe sacrifices as much goal mouth action which i guess depending on the game and opposition is better than seeing him isolated up top waiting for the ball to come to him.

I cannot believe how good he is. 23, a late bloomer and clearly going to get even better the more we get used to him.

The wingers starting to come into form, Wissa coming back as well. Going to see some sexy football this season.

He’s not. We discussed this post match. He’s contributing and playing well and settled much better than expected but yet to see him in a real goal scoring position facing goal with his feet. For example the through ball played to Isak Sunday that was saved. Want to see what he can do in those positions.

He’s commenting on all the players insta posts, Pope “the strongest arm in Newcastle”

Bet he’s loving it here

Put his arm around Gordon as they walked off together. He's just the best.

I assume his Cisse-esuqe finishing streak will slow down at some point, but the general play is only going to get better and better as others get used to playing with him.

He’s dropping deep. Isak used to make runs behind the defence. In theory we should have more possession but that also means more pressure on the wingers to score. I think one of the central midfielders has to push up and make runs to compensate. Let’s see how we adjust.
