I keep reading that he’s not a CF, yet no-one appears to have told the German national side this either?

In the national team, his teammates simply have better quality and can get Nick involved in the game.

The wingers here currently lack the quality to find Nick with the right passes. They simply lack the quality of their crossing and passing.

Unfortunately, Nick's form has been declining in recent weeks. On top of that, the other players aren't performing well either. Barnes and Miley occasionally show flashes of talent, but their play is too inconsistent. Elanga has been a complete failure so far this season. Tino has technical deficiencies, as does Hall. The only consistent performers so far have been Bruno and Thiaw.

He is going to need a change of play around him to make the most of him. I feel he has been sussed and our current gameplan for him just makes him look really bad.

I wonder if we can incorporate him and Wissa together.

And there's me thinking football is a team sport.

Didn't see the word solely there not going to lie. Howe running him into the ground holds the majority of responsibility but he literally put a worldie header into his own net.

I just felt sorry for the lad at the end of the match, looked utterly broken - he knows the stick he's going to get and it's gonna burrow into his head big time.

He's ruined our season and that's a FACT

Today's derby was a typical 0-0 draw. And yes, Nick ruined the most important game of the season with his horrendous own goal.

His teammates were just as bad, but were lucky enough not to score such a needless own goal.

His many good performances in the first two months were finally undone today. There's hardly a bigger fall from grace – from budding legend to clown.

I hope Nick comes out of this slump stronger than before.
