He's largely been brilliant for us, and we still haven't quite figured out how to get the best of him. Today wasmore like it. Insane first half.

 

He really is a unique talent.

I also think he's doing way better than we should have expected from a guy coming into a new league, and only really showing his talent consistently in the last year or so.

Good performance from him today and having Wissa back will mean we can rotate him a bit and give him a chance to work on his game more. his link up play is still weak but glad to see him get on the end of two chances to score.

He showed a couple of moments where he used his strength to play like a target man today. If he can develop that side of his game. To go with the fact his attacking movement has generally been better since the City game onwards. Then he is going to be some player. 
 

His post-match interview on TNT was very wholesome. Great bit between him and Crouch, as well.

Regarding his hold up, I preferred how he'd pop it about first time, when he first joined.

 

I actually don't like that he seems to be trying to hold it up more and hold onto the ball longer.

 

Wonder if that's an instruction he's been given.

 

His first time layoffs are elite.

Don't think there'd be anywhere near as many questions about him if Gordon hadn't taken pens off him, mind. He'd potentially be on 12 I think?

Having options on the bench will hopefully help the front 3 and when Joelinton gets fit. The midfield, too. 
 

You’d like to think we can stick to our proper gameplan a bit better. If we can rotate from the start between games. But also look to give players an hour and just have them put a proper shift in whilst they’re on the pitch. 
 

I thought Woltemade was working noticeably harder today and Gordon was never going to last 70, never mind 90. Tearing about like that.

I don’t know why but I love Big Nick man. He’s clearly a top bloke, and you could see how gutted he was last week when they were clapping the fans at the end.

 

Today was much fucking better. I hope we see him in the box far more, much like that Man City game. There was a few times first half we played it out wide to Murphy and he wasn’t close to the box. He’s a good finisher and will score a fucking hatful if we play the we did first half and his instinct improves. 
 

9 goals for the season. 7 in the league. Can see him getting 20 overall which is a class return. A pre season here under his belt and hopefully some more technical players coming in and I think he’ll be a beast next year.

Crouch best PL season is 12 goals and 18 in all comps. I think Nick W can beat both this season.  Still a way to go mind.

I'm starting to become truly convinced. The lad will be a great goalscorer for us aswell, and will keep improving. 9 goals already and only 1 was a pen? 23 years old, new to the league. He doens't drop deep as often after the fullbacks came back, and seems to be working on his movement. The ceiling is high for this lad.
