How dare you, hes sold our highest goalscorer

Aye but he let Ruddy go and couldn't convince that Nigerian kidda who played a couple games in Sweden to sign so we're back to square one. #worrying

Half the links are driven by clubs and agents when we aren't even bidding lol.

Must remain calm.... and frustrated.

Or alternatively give your brain a lovely rest, and then, a good few weeks after the world cup is put to bed, have a nosey around nufc.com and see if there are any updates.

This lad is not lying. I probably won't do it but the advice is sound and if I had sense, which I don't, I'd follow it.

No point talking logic here. We all know that but we are all too far gone if we are down the N-online rabbit hole haha

True enough.

“We have a terrible fear that if we stop for a moment we will miss something. The exact opposite is true.”

Nice words there, but I mean, we're all going to be F5'ing the planes thread on deadline day. [emoji38]

Well I hope Ross Wilson has something up his sleeve because this isn't very encouraging.

What’s to whinge about?

Clear shift in over paying for “proven” Premier League players which we all wanted. All but secured a goalkeeper. In talks with a promising looking first team winger. Missed out to Brighton on a promising 18 year old who wouldn’t have been a starter. Got a good fee for Gordon. All in the first couple of weeks.

We didn’t miss out on the AIK player as we never put in a bid, just had some preliminary discussions.

Or we could get upset over a player we never bid for and had never heard of 3 days ago, signing for Brighton?

Too many people scroll twitter all day in the summer and get upset over stuff that they have decided must be true.

Everyone is playing money ball. Football use to be much simpler, spend what you have, form the best team possible and the only thing that matters is what happens on the pitch. Games gone.

Aye, the game’s gone. Think a lot of us have been kidding ourselves for a number of years because football’s such an important part of our lives but the game’s gone to the point that it’s not coming back. That would be fine if it was turning into something new, adapting in a healthy way but as I and others have said far too often every governance decision that’s made is for profit and the benefit of those already with the most power. The whole thing stinks and it genuinely makes me really sad that I’m losing / have lost a part of life that felt like a proper escape

Couldn’t have said it better.

I guess no level is without its problems but I reckon that the further down the pyramid you go, the less corrupted it feels. Feels like there'll always be that, at least.
