Probably me being a miserable cunt but I find the constant tongue in cheek recommending of Greggs and the Black Garter to people coming to town boring, lifting patter.

Especially when per capita/m2 or however you want to measure it.  There is an unreal offer of quality food in the city compared to a lot of places I have visited.  A lot of them independents or small chains, as well.

Pubs within 1 mile champions. You’ll never sing that.

We are the champions, my friends
And we'll keep on drinking 'til the end
Within a single mile
Most pubs to make you smile
No lack of boozers
'Cause we have the most Inns

In the League

Did anyone go to the Women's cup final in Luton a couple of years ago?

Zero pubs within one mile. Thousands of dry geordies descended on Nandos, much to their confusion.

My enthusiasm for this match is low after yesterday's performance and result. Hope to see some much needed momentum going into the weekend.

Brentford is the more important game.

Hard disagree. Feels like the CL is giving us some much needed feeling of achievement in what has so far been a disappointing PL season.

Let's keep the European dream alive and when the form turns in the PL, we can worry about next year's campaign then.

Who is it? Wallsendmag? Can't see this table without mentioning how unwelcoming Wolverhampton boozers are???

Wolverhampton - forever stuck in the 1980’s.

It’s incredible really, because ground location-wise, it should be one the best to visit. But no, let’s make every single pub (apart from that one next to the station) home only with actual ticket checks on the doors.

More ammunition in the "everyone was sick as fuck" theory re the West Ham performance.

Was thinking this, but then I’m not sure Eddie would have been so pissed off post match.
