That was a comfy if unspectacular win. Don't think we played amazingly, but we didn't really need to. It was an important win though, we're only one win away from beating last seasons total needed to qualify, which is really handy at the halfway stage. Hall was a massive positive in that game, its going to be such an outlet having him back on that side. Barnes was tidy too. Tonali was Tonali, and the CB pairing continue to look good together.

Infact the only player who had a poor game was Gordon, who genuinely looked like a sunday league player, I wouldn't be surprised if his pass percentage was at 0%, but i'm willing to put that down to his hip issue.

A wins a win but we could do with the Brentford game being snowed off because Eddie needs to do loads of work at the training ground on their basic passing and control as right now it’s not even U13’s standard

At least we don’t have to worry about Gordon extending his horrid form in the league for now.

6th in the table... don't know how, but wow!

Our back 4 and goalie are even more dominant in this competition. Have bailed us out loads.

Nice we're at least doing so well in the Champions League.

The way the team is playing though, I think we're going to be stuck in mid table in the Prem till we get our full backs back, and they'll need to stay fit.

Fantastic 3 points, first and foremost.

They were pretty average. Looked outmuscled and poor in attack. Incredibly bad at set piece defending.

We looked similar to our prem form. A lot of strange, individually bad performances and not much cohesion.

Hall looked great, Tonali is wonderful, Thiaw is exquisite. But we know all that already.

Gordon was utterly woeful, Elanga has no clue what he's doing and Barnes leaves a lot to be desired as a starter.

If they had their first team out it may have been a different story, I think we'd have lost.

N-O's never beating the allegations. 6th in the Champions League table, comfortable 2 nil home win against Bilbao despite us being a work in progress, out of form, with key injuries, and half the team ill.

Not good enough for me - Alec Baldwin in Glengarry Glen Ross. I don't accept excuses

Think literally everyone is saying happy for the points but the performance is concerning as it doesn't show much difference to how we're performing in the league currently, and against a stronger team we'd have lost.

We played a team that had half their squad injured who don't travel well and one of our players in my opinion just rivalled Kennedy vs Cardiff.

Any particular point you disagree with there?

I really liked that long ball over to Joelinton. He's always been good at that. Tbh I don't mind us long, suits our transition based style and helps us when playing against a press

Though who can do this if Joelinton doesn't play? Woltemade has the size but is too slow to run down the channels

All those years we yearned to get into the champions league  when we were nowt but midtable dross with no hope

Win 3 out of 4 games and plenty aren't happy and the atmosphere in the ground was as flat as a pancake

Weird old world
