Keegans Export
We've been a bit passive at times, probably hard not to once we settle into that 5-4-1 in our third, but we've largely restricted them to half chances. Bit more composure going forwards and we could have had another couple. Hopefully we don't regret that by full-time...
Dr.Spaceman
No idea how this is only 0-1. Gordon shying away from the ball several times probably doesn't help. We really need to stop passing the ball to them as well. Fingers crossed we come out second half with a bit more composure.
sixx
Never really given it any thought before but is Gordon completely useless on his left foot? His shot which was saved was begging for a cut in on the left and then he just flat out refuses to hit it with his left after Willock’s ball.

We look dangerous in the counter. Seriously. But we’ve also been sloppy in possession, barely had the ball and Marseille should’ve scored at least 1 by now
STM
We are away to the second best side in France, arguably one of the toughest atmosphere in Europe and weve absolutely matched them. Its been tactically brilliant. Formation looks great. The inclusion of Willock has been fantastic too. Weve got some real strength to bring on too. Joelinton is made for this second half. KennyUtd
I swear if you just read the comments on here you'd be convinced we were losing 3-0.
Scoot
Ball retention is poor at times again. But we've had some great opportunities to score more (as gave they). Cut out the sloppy passes and individual errors and hopefully we'll be fine.
TRon
We might need to make some strategic subs at some point. The lads have grafted hard but we need some presence up front.
Mountain
I think this game may be remembered for that dive and Dan Burn standing on someone's head regardless of the result lol

Apart from that Rapeman cross that Aubamayang should have headed in. Too many poor final balls. If Wissa was fit we'd be laughing. Wolfcastle
Were not Man City. Were competitive, not distinctly better than, nearly every team in the champions league and the premier league. Were 4th and winning away from home but the other team has had a few chances and we've not been excellent and it borders on an outrage
Chris_R
We'll likely concede if we play that passively in the second half. They had too many clear chances and the same second half will be very risky. I'm not a fan of ceding quite that much possession and territory for that long. Still, it's working out well so far. 54
Tactically, I can completely get the plan, and it's kind of working, every time they've had space to run into they've looked really dangerous, especially Greenwood, so sitting back and breaking with pace makes sense, and its worked a fair few times, it just feels fraught with danger, as it requires more work which means we're likely to tire and make mistakes, like the Tonali clangor. So as a fan, its feels awful to watch.

Boey_Jarton
TNT woman saying the Newcastle are down on all the other stats including both possession 74:26 AND passing 371 : 126, failing to realise the circular reference.
