Sunderland 1-0 Newcastle United (14/12/25)

We need to solve the Woltemade conundrum, he had a good start but he's been completely ineffective for a while and we have no threat up front.

He's skillful but we need more from a centre forward, he bottles a lot of 50/50s and it just comes straight back a lot of the time.

Howe really needs a plan now to make it work for him and pretty fast too.

Not much positive to take from that, Wednesday is a massive game now, lose that and the knives will be out, rightly so in my opinion.

There was nothing positive at all. Lowest point of a mediocre season.

Tino instead of hoofing it is playing a pass back into the middle.

Thought he had a stinker. Just so dumb.

His lack of attacking output for us is a big concern I think, despite him obviously being a wonderful defender

We all know we’ll come flying out the traps on Wednesday, fucking abysmal even a 20 min bus ride from home.

The worst thing about this game is that they sat back for 30 minutes and we did almost nothing.

Yeah, I was surprised to see how little urgency we played with once Sunderland retreated to their own half. It was almost like the team collectively were happy to get a breather rather than using the opportunity to chase an equaliser. Didn't expect that at all.

He’s far, far better on the other side. Turbo at RB.

Sunderland were so much more up for this it's difficult to even be upset.

From the beginning the midfield was off and we weren't doing anything. Just giving it to the wingers and expecting them to dribble the whole team.

Couldn't believe Howe never changed anything tactically that first half. Thought he could have and should have done much better today. Had to move Bruno central much earlier on.

That was such a weak, pathetic nothing performance man. Started poorly and stayed that way for too long, and it gave them a ton of confidence and self belief.
