Aye. You were. There’s nothing ‘unreasonable’ about concerns ref; riding two of our most important players into the ground.

It was an eminently sensible observation.

Shame you were predisposed to defending Howe where there was no direct criticism of him.

Let’s leave it there. I’m sure it’s boring for everyone else now.

It's a rather canny read actually please keep going

Jokes aside, I understand both of the points your making and they have validity imo. Players like Tino are massively at risk of injury he was flagging something awful in the derby, us not being able to have 2 fit right backs at once is a massive headache. Yorkie also makes a good and valid point about the other options not looking particular good.

That being said, it does come to a point of those options might not be great but it's better to pick and choose what you do rather than being forced by injury.

Nothing wrong playing late Wednesday and Sat midday, when both at home ffs. You can play away in Europe Thursday and Sunday 2pm most times. A couple of hours shouldn’t make a difference, especially when the games are are at home.

It’s already making excuses for any issues we may encounter later in week.

I think we might have to give Alex Murphy a game here. He probably isn't good enough longer term, but hopefully is good enough to get through one home game. It's balancing the risk between him having a shitter and costing us, or playing Tino/Hall and losing them for a period of time. I'd sooner the former tbh.

I’d put Miley at RB tomorrow, it’s been mentioned by Howe that he sees a future there for him.

Tino and hall have to be protected, Tino looked fucked against Leverkusen imo and was non existent in the derby. Rest him.

We could give hall and hour and tino 30 mins at left back maybe?

One things for sure, an injury to either of those and we’re in deeper shite than we already are.

Or we could just cash in on some of the squad fringe players to actually upgrade our backups when the window opens in two weeks. There’s a number of players who are naturally at the end of their time here that we should be seeking pastures new for.

Tripps, Krafth, Willock and Osula are the logical immediate candidates to bring in some funds and clear wage space. If you’re being more contentious, the likes of Botman and Joelinton would be tempting to cash in on IF the right offer was to come in.

Could go Thiaw at RB if Lascelles is a realistic option at CB?

Whoa now, steady on. Did he really say he saw a future for Miley at RB ? I knew it was mentioned as an emergency contingency but as a future ?

We need to get behind the lads tomorrow. No grumbling as soon as we mis-place a pass.

Hopefully Sunday puts a bit fire in the supporters as well.

I think it will, in my experience our fans have always been at their best when backs are against the wall.

Bit OTT that like :)

I'd actually say our match going fans are a pretty resilient bunch in general. Social media is probably a bit different.

Results like Sunday are character building and will weed out the feint hearted. Should always get behind the lads at the match, some of our best atmospheres over the years have been in adversity.

The manager situation is a different discussion entirely and everyone is entitled to their opinion.
