Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Newcastle United: 18/1/26 @ 14:00 (Sky Sports)

Recommended Posts

We've had a decent period of rest for some of our tiring players this week, so I'm anticipating an energetic performance and a Harvey Barnes masterclass enabled by Bruno this afternoon.

1-2.

Something about match day that has this ability to erase the disjointed nature of our play at times this season from my memory and make me feel like all will be well.

All other games this week have gone our way, and this seems like a free hit.

So naturally we will lose 2-0.

Its not a free hits when you look at our league games coming up next month or so. Its one where 3 points is needed no excuses

Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

Wolves are about as useful as a stopped clock this season but today I fear it’s the second time they’ll be right.

Or summat like that.

0-3, storm into 5th place

Hopefully but we never make games like this easy. Just look at Burnley 2-0 looked like we'd tonk them then they nicked a goal and we hung on.

Winning away from home is never an easy task, even winning at home isn't these days. So the only factor to look at is, the quality of the opposition. Wolves are a relegation candidate so yes, given we have much harder fixtures down the line, we really need to find a way to win.

I'm optomstic that will change, and we'll start handing out a howking or two on the road

We've left ourselves with so much to do with the poor start of the season and losing so many especially away it makes these games must wins.

Other teams are also fucking up though, including most of our rivals for the CL spots. That means if we win the easier games like this one, we stand a fighting chance of qualifying again.

I wouldn't say I'm dead optimistic based on what I've seen so far this season, but we could still click.

Wolves is one of those teams that we seem to only get the Super Saiyan version of, like Sunderland and Bournemouth.

Add brighton to that list aswell.

Yep! It's insane. I should be mellow as fuck for an am kickoff. Bit of breakfast and a hammering on the tele. Am I mellow? Am I fuck.

We should, all things being equal, dominate the ball.

So in that scenario it nearly always comes down to can we create and take enough chances, and can we stop ourselves being too susceptible to the counter.
