Granted a good signing  but massively  overrated by some imo. Uses his pace to get him out of bother a lot of the time.

What a daft cunt using his pace to get himself out of bother eh?

Nah, he's very good. Still learning.

Tbf, if Thiaw tries to get ahead of Ekitike, Ekitike cuts inside instead. He shouldn’t have been left exposed that was the issue.

Ekiteke did very well with both.

Tripps is very very slow.

We haven't played badly, they have some class players, they were never going to be on the back foot the whole half.

Changes: Miley for tripps and perhaps Wissa on for elanga

Dunno about Thiaw copping all the blame for the second goal mind. What the fucks he meant to do there? Our line was atrocious, Hall much deeper than the rest, once the ball is played Thiaw is isolated and shows Ekitike onto his weaker foot. It's a decent tor poke but Pope has to do better with that

Great goal mind great control of the ball.

it’s pretty much the opposite of how we used to be though, so what’s changed?

Feels like after that season where we were criticised for that play, Howe has made a conscious decision to move away from it to the point where the side now does none of it.

Don’t even see Trippier do any antics at all when he plays for example.

Yeah it was a brilliant strike with no backlift, don't think Thiaw had a chance to close that down.

Trippier is at the mercy of wether the winger can take advantage of his positioning or not these days. His athleticism is gone

He's just can't get close to opposition players these days and once past him he can't recover. Needs putting out his misery

Anyone noticed Ramsey? Not sure what he's been doing.

Aye I noticed him letting Wirtz just walk past him for the first goal :shifty: He's been pretty anonymous otherwise, a couple of good passes here and there but that's it.

Ekitike would have been fucking immense for us. We're more often lost without a game changing player this season.

We'd be where Villa are if we'd got him
