Anderson
5 hours ago, SteV said: Aye, and they get wiped after this game, so might be sensible (although not sure how practical) to let them miss this. Not sure if this is the case. UEFA's guidance as clear as mud helpfully. Are yellow cards wiped after the Champions League group stage? Article 52.04 Exceptionally, all yellow cards and pending yellow-card suspensions expire on completion of the play-offs. They are not carried forward to the group stage. In addition, all yellow cards expire on completion of the quarter-finals. They are not carried forward to the semi-finals. Had assumed that's supposed to read 'not carried forward from the group stage'. But The Mirror reckon they do carry over, so assume the play-offs mentioned are pre-GS qualifying play-offs. The Three-Card Rule: A player is automatically suspended for one match after accumulating three yellow cards that did not result in a red card. This rule applies throughout the league phase and continues into the knockout rounds until the semi-final stage. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/champions-league-suspension-laws-ban-36624143

Being suspended for three yellows in 14 games would be absolutely idiotic. Bad enough that it’s for 3 in 10.

timeEd32
5 minutes ago, Nobody said: What a stupid bloody rule that is mind In the current version of European football you can't play a kid whose been at the club for 23 months in one case, but you can play senior players who have already played for another club in the same tournament in other cases. So the A list is basically all your main senior players (up to a max of 25 I think). The B list is basically all your players born from 2004 onwards, but they have to have been at the club for at least two years. So for us, Miley doesn’t need to go on the A list and take up one of the spaces, cos he’s still young enough for the B list.

I just wasn't sure whether it was home grown players which iirc he possibly does for premiership purposes. I remember giving myself a headache looking through all that stuff when he signed. Can't buy a single under 14 ticket without an adult so had to use my other account and buy an adult ticket for her....must be fuckin daft tbh, mental cost. Even the £40 u14 price felt a bit much. Any yellows picked up from the group stage up to and including the QF count towards a suspension - which is why I can’t understand why the players on a yellow didn’t undertake a bit of ‘professionalism’ and get themselves a booking vs Qarabag
