He's right though, we've got a board that should be capable of assessing managers qualities in far more depth than someone called Fak or Holmesy on a football forum will. Succession planning should always be there.

Theres zero chance there's no manager out there better than him that we could get, we've seen managers before come in to clubs who we havent heard of and do well, your Mourinhos and Wengers started somewhere too and in Wengers case wasn't heard of when he came over here.

Same in any business, I wouldn't laugh at a customer of Asda who says management needs to change due to the state of their store but then can't name another capable CEO to come in

I'm not asking him to literally appoint the manager. Just want to know which manager fits his criteria of "learns from his mistakes" that could improve us and thus so it can be debated

To the clampets who are dedicating this loss to the fans who actually enjoy the sense of the occasion of the Derby.

Suck my plums you spineless simpletons ☺️

Honestly who cares? All the background stuff can get to fuck for all I care. We lost on the pitch and I don't need to hear anything else. No dig at you.

Never known a season where we have lost after 90 minutes so many times. Totally shocking....is this Howes '"Gullit resignation" moment?. Love the guy but this is not acceptable

It does echo Pardew. Europa League, lost the quarterfinal to Benfica midweek. I recall we went straight into a derby at SJP right after. Won't talk much more about it apart from a certain knee slide.

I think it’s for the best. Anything that get said will just piss us off further. Any acceptance or apology won’t make the loss feel any better. Actions not words now for the rest of the season.

Full inquest at the end of the season with all sides looking at themselves then hopefully some proactive movement from the board structure early.

A load of turgid platitudes either in person or on Instawank aren’t going to make a difference. We know they’re a bunch of peahearted plodders, trying to convince me via some mealy mouthed words isn’t going to work.

That's the issue man

Being asked to suggest alternatives for our current manager isn't analgous to having a broken washing machine and not knowing how to fix it.

Aye. Not interested in hearing any predictable bullshit. They had their chance on the pitch, and embarrassed us again against this lot.

What's equally galling is it was so predictable.

My pessimism and dread before the game was proven justified because we have seen that same game play out so many times. Brentford, Everton, Sunderland just to name a few.

But we simply can't seem to navigate these sort of teams. One big guy up front just dominates our slow weak cb's every time. Thiago, Beto and now most recently Brobbey. Rince and repeat.

Add in our utter inability to break down sides unless they try to play out and we manage to nick the ball high up.

Our set piece deliveries have been atrocious most of the season.
