My pessimism and dread before the game was proven justified because we have seen that same game play out so many times. Brentford, Everton, Sunderland just to name a few. But we simply can't seem to navigate these sort of teams. One big guy up front just dominates our slow weak cb's every time. Thiago, Beto and now most recently Brobbey. Rince and repeat. Add in our utter inability to break down sides unless they try to play out and we manage to nick the ball high up. Our set piece deliveries have been atrocious most of the season. You have that sixth sense when watching us knowing how the game will go from certain points onwards - so many times we lose all of our discipline - over commit players - panic in situations - lose our nerve - not know how to construct a move Edited March 22 by Mikky

We would be better placed blasting the ball into the stands every set piece than keep allowing that dog shit to happen. They're a hindrance to us it seems and invariably ends in us being countered. Them set pieces coupled with the 50/50's (I'm annoyed suggesting they're even that because we pussy foot any battle). Need to check myself here because I could just spill loads of bile based on the last couple of games but serves no purpose, we are fodder this season and we've all knew it from the start. duo
We'd have won this with Bruno and Tonali I think - they were just passing through our midfield. That being said - the team played should have been good enough to beat them. Just a lackluster performance all round. Edited March 22 by duo

But the negativity and nerves from fans at the game is a self fulfilling prophecy with us most of the time. Players look a bit nervy, crowd gets nervy, players get more nervy, crowd gets more nervy, players fuck up, rinse and repeat. We’ve got a losers mentality on and off the pitch currently. And the two things are inextricably linked. Edited March 22 by bobbydazzla
Tsunami
Didn’t see many early leavers, people late in for the start of the 2nd half irritates me no end. Mixture of lack of bogs and people queuing up for drink and scran. The bog situation is on the club, those coming in 5 minutes late with a nuclear hot pie squeezing passed everyone really need a word with themselves. Yeah I agree, as much as I don't want to hear generic soundbites from those gutless clowns there's plenty of Newcastle fans who'll be expecting an explanation and the players have just spat in those fans faces by not fronting up

midds
On the contrary, I don't want to hear a single word from any of them. I saw exactly what happened with my own eyes, their apologies and rallying calls mean absolutely nothing if you've just been dicked at home despite taking the lead yet again. Insincere, meaningless drivel I don't want to see or hear
