The first question you should ask is why Burn is starting at LB

Because he wants to see how Hall fares at RB.

Is it really that mental? We're probably losing Tino whose greatest asset is being able to play both sides. Would be useful if we had a replacement for that in-house.

Gordon isn't being rested for the world cup though, he's been benched since he wants away, likely to protect his value.

Guess what I meant was good enough for Gordon to take a bench space with little/no intention to play him.

Quite ridiculous to see hall at rb just to accommodate burn. And would have preferred to see some youths on the bench but oh well. With Eddie youths have no chance.

Hate that Howe never trusts the kids.

What's Barnes done wrong?

Finishes like a striker, makes our other forwards feel inadequate

Not sure why Barnes is benched, but okey.

So Eddie can prepare for next season with RW main man Jacob Murphy.

Personally think it’s mental playing one of your best player out of position. However, as long as it doesn’t happen next season, then today is pretty irrelevant.

Or alternatively, The kids aren’t good enough.

also if Hall could become a credible right back option (and why not given his footballing ability) that would help the squad massively going forward.

This is likey the situation, most of these u21s will end up at L1/L2 clubs next season, either on loan on permanently. Maybe we'll see Neave get 10 minutes today, but he'll probably get more like 2 in reality 😂

Never know unless you give them a try, you know, in a dead rubber 2nd leg match or something?

But lets be honest, he didn't really give Anderson that much of a chance when he had him, other than playing him on the wing where he wasn't as effective.

And Miley break through run in the side only happened because of injuries.

You know it'll be Hall RB & Burn LB as well as anyone. God damnit Howe.

We thought it was that against Forest but it was 4 at the back

If only.

Aye, if only we'd stuck him on the credit card, could have claimed under section 75 for a defective winger.

So we need to buy two RBs this summer with Trippier, Krafth and likely Tino leaving.

Yes, it is fucking mental to think Hall should be playing out of position to be the RB replacement.

Just stick Hall at LB and buy a new RB in the summer. Simple. Don’t tell me you really think next season we should be going like this. Please
