Football pet hates

I remember when I was over in Spain, their football programmes would have lip-readers on their review shows with what the players/coaches, etc were saying to each other, so fair enough I guess.

 It's f***ing horrid.

I like how out of place it is. Also a fan of succulent.

I also like these terms in football, it just gives a creepy edge to otherwise dull commentary.

"Gorgeous strike"

"Succulent through ball there"

"That tackle was erotic"

"A big juicy right hand from the keeper there. So sexy in the replay"

etc

WTF? I'm now thinking you have a roundabout sized satellite dish and have been watching some kind of obscure porn-footy fusion channel! Babestation does the Euros... :pedro:

Can't see the function of the ref behind the goals tbh. Especially when they're on the same side of the pitch as the linesman. Most times, the ref or the linesman surely would make the big decisions instead of the bloke hugging that byline?

I hate not hearing Mick Martin saying " He's pulled the neck off that one." Now I think about it, I have no clue what he's referring to, but always got that he was describing a skewed shot. Would love to hear it again.

There's this one commentator who says "He struck that ever so well". Not a pet hate, I really like when he says it.

EDIT: It's Paul Walsh. Probably one of my favorite color commentators.

Canny racist that like

That's what we(in America) call the Co Commentator.

Not the first time I've been accused of being racist on here. And not the first time for that exact reason. I once said I thought Robbie Earl was a good color commentator which set everyone off.

I got mixed up between Paul Walsh and Paul Parker and thought you were being a massive racist, my mistake

Both utterly shite pundits.

When players taking corners insist on having almost all of the ball over the line to give them some obscure advantage, then proceed to either fail to clear the first defender or lamp it right over everyone waiting for it, and it runs out for a throw in :fool:
