Makes up for his lack of pace with a fantastic ability to read the game. Jonathon Woodgate Reading of the game is immense and is so calm and composed. Never rattled. William Gallas Versatility is a trait used too often with Gallas and I think this detracts from his unarguable ability in his favoured position of centre half. Very quick, powerful, great leap for a relatively smaller guy, massive athleticism. Kolo Toure Take him away from Arsenal and they are in trouble. Unbelievably quick, powerful, and a leader, but raw still when compared to the slightly classier messrs Terry, Woodgate and Gallas. Nemancja Vidic Didn't see much in him last season but this year since he has settled looks the part. Quick, powerful, great attacking header of the ball and reads the game well. Possesses plent of ability and barely puts a foot wrong. 2) Toure - Still improving and a big reason why Arseanl reached the Champions League final last year. 3) Terry - Not the best at international level but takes some beating on the domestic front. 4) Woodgate - A crock, but still one of the leagues most accomplished centre backs, absolute class on his day. 5) Vidic - Was always going to be a hit at Man Utd after his heroics at international level. Drops plenty of bollocks but never seems to be punished due to plent of quality cover. He's held their defence together for years. He still does.
