Remember when they were prattling on about how it would cost £1m or so to do this and wishing they would shut the fuck up about it.

Then Llambias implied it would be installed as part of any naming rights deal:

  Quote
Our intention is to put a package together that would include, for instance, stadium rights with a jumbo screen included in that sponsorship which is great for the fans as well.

Then he told one of his trademark bald faced lies:

  Quote
Our intention is to have, for instance, sportsdirect.com@StJames'Park. We were never going to lose St James' Park, it was always going to be @StJames'Park.

Somehow this happened 2 years later:

  Quote
Newcastle United have renamed St James' Park the Sports Direct Arena after owner Mike Ashley's company.

TLDR: Cunts.

They're taking the fucking piss not only doing this, but advertising it as something to be celebrated.

Everything they do is try and make fans appreciate the club for doing anything other than provide football.

We're encouraged to celebrate LED screens, deals with Papa John, balance sheets, deals with Puma and Wonga, low ticket prices, discounts on shitty third-kits and whatever the fuck, as long as it has no connection to Newcastle United winning games or scoring goals or not losing horribly all the time.

This isn't a football club anymore.

What was the Papa Johns deal?

If we only lose 0-1 you might win a pizza.

Replays? ???

f*** me, it's bad enough having to watch it once.

Might be worth it if they manage to play replays of something else like the Meyler incident. Slo-mo replays, at least three of them should do it.

Just put the Keegan/Robson season review DVDs on a loop, a ticket wouldn't be a complete waste of time and money then.
