Here we are just 5 days away from one of our biggest home games in years v Arsenal and you can go on the site now and buy a corporate seat if you like. Still 47 seats available in Wings when I checked before. For general seating our demand will be up there with any club. For corporate seating we're miles away. Put simply people up here just don't have the money. It's why we need to be able to spend on the squad to drive real success. That's what puts bums on seats once you get past the diehard support base and shoots you into the superleage echelons. It's also why the cartel have worked so hard to make sure we can't spend on the team. Go build a new training ground or a conference suite and you're fine. Put simply people up here just don't have the money. I bought myself a ticket to the barracks as a birthday present. The next day the club rang me to see how I found it and would I like more corporate tickets. The lad on the phone was dead canny but I thought bit was telling it’s the only time the club have ever called me for feedback when I’ve had a ST for over 33 years and 400+ LP. They’re desperate to create a demand for hospitality that won’t be there until we’re winning silverware regularly (and even then we just don’t have the draw that London or NW clubs have). That’s not a bad thing imho (it makes us, us) but given restrictions it’s another thing that will impede our rise to the top.
OpenC
Those guys filling the corporate seats at Spurs and Arsenal are in London anyway though. It's easy enough to take them to North London and give them a corporate football experience. There are not thousands and thousands of wealthy clients hanging around Stowell Street who are knocking back the chance of corporate at SJP because we haven't strengthened at RW for years and are just waiting for better football. Again safety imo
Wandy
I don't understand the desire for a huge "kop" end mind. Its an outdated concept and the views from near the back of it would be bloody awful.
LFEE
Shaking my head at most of you Do any of you actually watch the football whilst it’s going on? “I want it to look like this I don’t want it to look like that…” yada yada yada 1st world problems… You can tell some of you are locked out the ground if that’s your main concerns
Rich
I'm not usually looking at the stadium exterior when I'm inside the stadium, mind. I'm looking at the stadium exterior plenty on a matchday and during the rest of the week, though, and it currently gives me a warm fuzzy glow. Don't really want to lose that if possible. Don’t lose sight of the fact that our Corporate experience is shite and doesn’t represent value for money I’ve been in the Barracks and felt like I got ripped off for the price of the ticket They’re also having to ship some corporate out to Hadrians Tower (and Fenwicks?) for the pre-match, which is ludicrous I’m lucky enough that I could afford corporate tickets if I wanted to treat myself, but no way I’m paying those prices for what I get in return at SJP. It’s daylight robbery Edited 4 hours ago by bobbydazzla

It's going to occupy a whacking part of the city and form an important part of its international identity. Why wouldn't you want to ensure it looks the part? If after a while it's made out of fraying, discoloured lumps of plastic we'll regret it.

There’s nothing “corporate” about it, that’s for sure When I was in there the queues for the bars were massive, there was a covers band playing Britpop tunes so loud that you couldn’t hear yourself think and I got a free shawarma wrap and some chips for my bait. The seats are nowt special either. Think it was £180 per ticket. Felt like I’d been scammed Edited 4 hours ago by bobbydazzla

I know the Barracks is the cheapest offering TBF. Edited 4 hours ago by AyeDubbleYoo
loki679
For a new stadium I like that mockup someone did with the stone outside making it look like / match the architecture on Grey Street. Can't find the image of it now but it looked mint.

Compare that to Birminghams offering for us (which they’ve hiked up as it’s obviously a high profile game for them )2 course meal and free drink! I enjoyed it (the barracks) but as you say it wasn’t VfM - most of the people in there (those that I know) are small businesses putting it through the books rather than wealthy individuals.
