"In July 2023, Aston Villa announced that they would expand the North Stand at Villa Park"

July 2023. Patience you must have, young padawan.

Villa might just have the worst fan base in the league, you know? Undoubtedly a good club with a really nice, unique ground, sadly it’s filled with a bunch of mute whoppers. It’ll only get worse with more day trippers in there.

Big risk for Villa. It's not that long ago that they had to do a "Sunderland" and close down the upper tier when things weren't going well. They had a few sub 40k crowds last season as well. They have a decent sized fanbase but it's also a very fickle fanbase as well.

They can only achieve this expansion cause they don't need to move a row of terraced houses to Cadbury World, brick by brick.

Sickening.

Easier for them to expand the North Stand, it expands into a car park. Think we'd have announced the Gallowgate expansion being our preferred option if it was as straight forward as Villas North Stand.

Its probably come at the time in their history where the grounds been most filled.  Was an occasion when it was full rather than the opposite. Remember a commentator saying when we played them in 2008 that it was the first time in their history or something that they'd averaged over 40,000.

So they revealed better plans a few years ago, decided to pull back on those plans because it would mean closing section of their stadium, to reveal lesser plans where they don’t have to close sections of their stadium, but now have to close sections of their stadium.

And people wonder why we are taking our time?

Begs the question, why not just extend the East Stand?

And who is going to carry Leazes Terrace to Beamish brick by brick?

Did we finish the feasibility study yet?

I believe the "Feasibility study" for conducting a "Feasibility study" has finally concluded. Rumour is the feasibility study is a go!
