Superior Acuña
L7 seems an odd place for safe standing really, but I suppose its easier with fewer ST holders, and I welcome any expansion of it.

Yes, makes sense. I was told by someone at the club in February that it was also going to be at the top of the Gallowgate too, but that must have been knocked on the head. It's good to know that the demand for standing is being acknowledged by the club and they're acting on it.

Not to mention the police as our home games will either clash with Hearts or Hibs depending on which one of them are at home that day so you could be left with a situation where you have the fans of Newcastle, Leeds, Hearts and Celtic as an example all in Edinburgh at the same time, which isn't exactly a huge city, on the same day. Just don't think this one's a goer somehow for a multitude of reasons.

OpenC
They could knock up one of those shipping container stadiums they used at the world cup. Dump it in a field between Burradon and Backworth and everybody's happy (except people who use the Moor Farm roundabout)

Dr Venkman
7 hours ago, TheBrownBottle said: If you’re referring to my constant refrain of the KSA govt being resolutely full of shite when it comes to big claims about construction works, then I stand uncorrected. The evidence for this is available thanks to the wonder of the Internet. I am, yeah. The problem with your constant refrain in this context, though, is that PIF have said nothing about infrastructure developments at NUFC. I've asked for evidence plenty of times and nothing's ever come back. So your internet research, wonderful as it is, isn't worth much. 7 hours ago, TheBrownBottle said: If they loan the money or bring in outside investment to fund the works then it’s hardly the result of their deep pockets - any owner could do that. That's irrelevant to the point I was making, but I think you already know that. 7 hours ago, TheBrownBottle said: Personally, I don’t think that one of the nastiest regimes on the planet needs its feelings protected from anonymous gobshites like myself making sceptical comments on a football forum. But I’m glad they’ve got their white knights on here. This is a lovely straw man you've set up, and I'm sure it will catch the eye of a few. I'm not protecting the regime, though, I'm pulling up the gobshite.

Just don't think this one's a goer somehow for a multitude of reasons. But apart from all those things you mention above. And apart from the FA, SFA, UEFA, FIFA saying it's not possible. And apart from the massive logistics hassle for punters. And apart from us not knowing that we actually will need a stadium to play in whilst ours gets renovated, rather than it being a new build and SJP doesn't get bulldozed until the new one opens. If we removed all of those potential issues, shirley you've got to admit that Murrayfield would be a goer ? Edited May 20 by bobbydazzla
