It’ll be around that again with CL football

Should be £60m+ for this season. Guaranteed at least 1 more home CL game (hopefully more) and our ticket prices/Corporate prices are now far higher than they were in 23/24.

It is still nowhere near what the big clubs in the league, and Spurs, will be generating though.

You would like to think the 64% rise the deal enders faced will now make it easier going forward to guesstimate our income after this season as I can’t see where else they can squeeze it from as the ground stands.

Forgot to factor in that so we'll probably top £70m in matchday revenue for this season but aye, I think that's near enough us maxed out at SJP with what it can offer. £100m+ matchday revenue would only be achieved at a new stadium. They're already pushing their luck putting people in hospitality at Fenwicks and Hadrians Tower then getting those guests to walk to the ground from there. A new stadium would allow all hospitality to be hosted on site, and with that comes in increase in cost.

Had a bit of a shite experience getting out of the ground yesterday night.

Wor lass and I have been going for years, but over recent years she has needed to use the lift, as she has a hidden disability and the stairs make it very difficult for her, especially with the crowds. She has an accessibility pass and a sunflower lanyard, never really had too much of an issue in the past, staff normally decent and helpful.

We get tickets through ballot (0/6 this season) or member sale, ended up in the Gallowgate which is preferred actually as more leg room than Leazes.

Anyway, after the match we waited for the lift for her in the Gallowgate, naturally it's very busy, it's the slowest lift in the world, and wheelchair users are using the lift as expected so may have to wait a while till there is space for us.

Some jobsworth was kicking off trying to force himself and someone else into the lift, had pushed/moved some poor fellas wheelchair, naturally he kicks off with him, and low and behold 5 mins of arguing entails, staff have to come and get involved. Guy didn't even apologise despite obviously being in the wrong, he was determined people in the lift could have moved to let them in, bearing in mind there are two people in wheelchairs in the lift with people assisting them, amongst other fans.

The irony is, in the time he spent arguing that he "hadn't touched his chair" the lift could have gone down and came back up. If you are said person reading this on here, just have some patience and don't touch people's wheelchairs please. We all are trying to get out the ground, and also understand not all disabilities are visible. The whole thing should have just been "I'm sorry" and move on.

Anyway after 3 or 4 lifts full go by, wor lass is finally able to squeeze into the lift, and manage to get a fella who waiting on 2 sticks in as well. I tell her I'll meet her down at the lift exit, as I don't need it at all, rather someone who does need it could get in, off she goes.

I turn round to go down the stairs and the staff tell me I can't go down either access, as the doors have now been locked and I have to take the lift...

Make it make sense? I am totally fine using the stairs, was only making sure wor lass is alright, and now I have to wait for the lift and more importantly and annoyingly, take up a space that someone who needs the lift could take.

The people waiting were kind enough to let me go first so I could get to her ASAP. If you are on here, thank you.

Just seems such a stupid idea to lock the doors when people are still leaving the ground.

I'd suspect that increasing approximately 20,000 member tickets by 25% over the last two seasons and has had more of a financial impact than the relatively limited number of ST's coming off a 10 year deal.

Back of a fag packet maths says that at the least it's added about £5.2m in extra match day revenue versus 23/24. And that's only across the 19 league games.

Plus approximately 30,000 season tickets prices have gone up by 10% across the board in the same time period.

It's all extra bunce for NUFC for no extra cost to the club in terms of ground improvements etc etc. And they'll keep squeezing it because people just suck it up.

I think a lot of season ticket came to the end of their 10 year deal so some have gone up massively. My old ticket would have nearly doubled in price.

Man Utd do this a lot, have people in marquees and the victoria and albert hotel, hotel football etc on match days and then tickets in the ground

On an sort of yet unrelated note, my mate got locked in due to this one time as he really needed a shit (had the squits) and faced a similar issue when he came to leave 😂

Probably not end up being of any personal benefit to you (other than it sometimes being cathartic to complain) but it might mean they improve things going forward.

Be touch and go waiting on that lift in that scenario 😂

Will do mate, thank you. Worth doing if it even remotely improves things going forward.

Do you think the numbers on the 10YD is relatively small? I would’ve thought it be the majority of ST holders or a very hefty chunk at least.

Based on what I'd read, I was under the impression that the majority of the 10 year deals ended in 2022.

And then there was a final smaller group who'd somehow managed to sign up until 2024 and they're now paying the same as everyone else this season.

Edit:

I looked back at the minutes from the meeting between FAB and NUFC about 10 year fixes ending this season.

The words used were "final group of season ticket holders" whereas if it was tens of thousands I would have thought the words would be something like "majority / large number of season ticket holders".

But it's semantics and as with anything to do with ticketing at NUFC, there's no transparency and very few facts.

How can it take so long time to make a decision?

I understand it could take a long time to actually build a new stadium, but it can"t take years to come to a decision of what to do!

This is such a joke!

Because nothing will happen.

Maybe planning permission on whatever site they're looking at is more complicated than originally thought.

Until you know what you are deciding between then how can you make a sensible long term decision?

And you keep forgetting they had a reset in March after the cup parade and Eales early departure so no longer pushing the no empty seat mantra will have thrown things up in the air that hadn’t even landed back then.
