Water is wet.

It amazes me that people are thick enough to think that you can make submit secret planning applications.

The whole point on a planning application is that the public can view and put across their views.

I'd much rather have a purple away kit than a green one.

I'm still convinced that wearing a primarily green kit playing on a green surface is a disadvantage even though deep down I know that makes no sense whatsoever.

Ten purples on the pitch, just give us that premier league trophy now

Well I’m sure I paid £35 or even £45 at Euro 96 so I very much doubt that ha ha!

Haha, aye I went to a game (Romania v Bulgaria I think) £45 and £15 for a program

Ha aye I thought it was £45 - insane and no wonder the crowds weren’t the best!

Did all three - France had some amazing players and won the following two tournaments! Great to see Hagi and stoichkov too!

I remember queuing up outside Thomson house for the chronicle giveaway for Euro 96 tickets, was waiting ages and got as far as ristorante roma before they all went, was way more than an NUFC ticket at the time for under 16s and my dad was probably working so a non starter.

Bulgaria - Romania was 19k, hardly any away travellers back then from those countries.  West Road alone could probably add more romanians on the gate now!

I was there for Romania Bulgaria, must have been 9 year old. 1-0, Hristo Stoichkov 3rd minute goal.

We're not getting a stadium or any redevelopment before then. Or maybe ever.

Makes any sort of substantial redevelopment of SJP before then all but impossible but certainly doesn't rule out a new build on Leazes Park - even if they started on that today it wouldn't be finished by summer 2028 anyway.

Always said the Euro’s 2028 would pretty much confirm a new build due to the conflicting timescales as would only allow for minimal upgrades in a 2yr span.

Two Stack events (last night for Euro28) and 27th with the latter being attended by Hopkinson might shed more light on things though.

They could well use that date as an announcement 🤞

I went to the Strawberry (fuck me Old Peculier is a sneaky git, OK when your in the pub but mix with daylight and fresh air and its lethal) then over to the breweries site where they had a festival thing. Got to see Lindisfarne live.

With an announcement on a new training ground expected later this season – the club have reduced the number of potential sites to two – and confirmation of the plan to build a new stadium also expected in 2026, Newcastle believe they already have the manager in place to ensure the team continues to perform on the pitch

From Edwards. It’s coming but it also keeps getting pushed back.
