Always hard to know exactly what we're aiming for in terms of a good atmosphere.

Personally I don't think it's a disaster to have some quiet moments as long as the crowd understand what the players need and when they need it. That's better than a constant drone of noise that's unrelated to the game.

Agree with this. Remember watching Dortmund last game of the season a couple of years ago. Going for the title and falling behind but there was no trying to rally the team, it was just that background dirge all the way through.

I was thinking that.

Anyway it sounds promising if it comes off. Would be a big signal of intent.

Where I live. I presume it’s where the cricket ground currently is as there is lots of land adjacent and was earmarked for a nine hole golf course many years ago. I know the bloke who owns the land

It’s got a for sale sign up as well saying that it would be ideal as an additional service station.

Either that or they’ve leaked this on purpose as a negotiating tactic.

Wouldn’t be surprised if it was the Hall family trying to take our eye balls out for Woolsington and that’s the deal we walked away from.

The longer this has gone on I think the initial emotional response about leaving SJP has waned a bit. Would I be right in thinking the vast majority want a new build?

A new stadium that’s truly multi purpose is a no brainer. Also don’t see why the capacity numbers are so conservative. They’ll have the data on how many supporters are trying to get tickets. Refuse to believe it’s only 13k more than our current capacity.

The question really is, just how long term is PIF’s “long term commitment”? The longer no decision is made, doubts will creep in.

Doubts crept in after a few months TBH, I’m not sure there’s much they can do about fans being idiots.

They don’t help themselves though. If the process was a bit more transparent would help. Does anyone know how long Spurs or Everton’s planning phases were for their stadiums?

We could be another 2 years from any sort of announcement at the pace they are going?

If that potential matchday revenue is correct, BUILD A NEW FUCKING STADIUM.

Love St James to bits, got so many childhood memory’s between the ages of 14 and 16. Saving my dinner money up to buy a ticket on the turnstile and stuff.

Unfortunately there is no room for sentiment in business and as much as I hate it Football is a business.

What utter drivel, and you clearly missed the message that any new stadium is going to be about 50% owners funded.

So yeah the 1billion they are about to invest shows there lack of commitment.

Get real dude.

Spurs’s process started around the time Mike Ashley bought us, and they didn’t move in until the end of 2019.

Everton’s has been years and years in the making. With Everton it is hard to pin point where their current stadium progress started because they had various plans and various locations on the go over a period of time.

West Ham took 4 years after the Olympics to move into the London stadium.
