I spoke to Alan Smith last night prior to the game, he was sitting in the Club Gold Bar having a brew. The conversation went like this: Welldon : Hi Alan, good to have you at the club, why aren't you playing tonight,being rested ? Smiffy : Nah. Welldon : Oh right, so your injured ? Smiffy : Nah. Welldon : Oh ok, I was just asking as it said you were a doubt tonight on the OCS. Smiffy : Nah, I ain't been injured for ages. Welldon : Oh ok, thought you might have picked up a niggle at the Chesterfield game, that was some second half don't you think, you looked knackered at the end ? Smiffy : That was like a F**king kids game ! Welldon : Bye Alan. I think Luke Ashmeads job is safe for a while yet !!! Now in case anyone thinks he was pissed with me because i was talking to him, when I walked in he had a face like a smacked arse, he looked more than pissed off, now it says on the OCS he was injured....but not according to Smiffy.
