Optimistic Nut Posted May 2, 2007 Share Posted May 2, 2007 I also noticed the consistancy of where the Northern Rock logo is (some stick out into the white stripes and some don't) is terrible. - I remember the old 95-97 home shirt, and the club badge on some shirts were on just the white stripe, and on others was half and half. Difference being from this seasons one is, 2 black stripes instead of 3 in the middle (back and front) and white numbering at the back with black for the name instead of this season gold numbering and lettering. I was pleased with the design. However for some reason they have gone for a different design which i think looks appalling. Any ideas how many seasons we have the new shirt design for? Think it would look SO much better if we hadn't succombed to the standard plain back, that so many striped/hooped teams have done. It's like Celtic having a plain green back. You can say that there are stripes on the bottom, but the bottom is tucked in and you won't see them - or maybe glimpses of them - which will make it look utterly shit. In saying that - i think the new EPL names/numbers are smart! But i like the front - i do. Nice to see a return of the blue. I'll certainly be buying it, anyway.
