CPL
He was woeful the few times I seen him play... Blew his big chance in the Leeds friendly IMO... Thats what i remember him for also, spilling that cross went on to lose 3-2 .

ujpest doza
I thought he was poor last night. Was very slow to react to the first and went down too quick for the second. Playing in a pub league won't help him at all, needs to be playing in a proper league to develop.
Ronaldo
He's a keeper, playing in a pub league isn't the problem per se. It's the fact he plays for the best team by far in a pub league. Was poor last night though, no question. Ben Foster is the best English keeper for me.
healthyaddiction
Controversial opinion but I think Joe Hart is England's best keeper.
Ronaldo
Except when he's losing games for his team left, right and centre, which he's been doing since March.
healthyaddiction
Been excellent for long periods of time. Ben Foster has had plenty of poor patches and made many mistakes in his career.

Guest Howaythetoon
Don't want to knock the lad but he should have at least reached for that header, he was nowhere near it and his kicking was poor too. Still, it was his debut As for England, its embarrassing how so much better other players and teams are with the ball at their feet. Criminal almost. There was no point in going for the header it was past him before he could move for it. He wasn't too bad imo, a lot of back passes he received were poor. As for other teams passing better - its unreal. England looked shit scared of the ball. Laughable last night.

joeyt
Might have been mentioned but reckon we put a clause in his contract that we get some money cos he made his international debut? Very FM-tastic I know
Yorkie
Knowing our regime, you'd think the sale of a player like Forster would be absolutely riddled with clauses, whereby we may get some cash somewhere down the line. Then again, knowing our regime, they'd be stupid enough not to realise the potential of that sort of thing.
Cajun
IIRC Forster went for quite a high fee (£2m?) given he was pretty much 3rd choice here and never really looking like a starter. Would be surprised if we got any more for him, plus isn't Mike more of a 'cash up front' sort of bloke. I reckon he would have milked the fuck out of the instant cash rather than add in all sorts of clauses which could see him either wait for or altogether miss out on money. Disco
Normally you'd applaud this sort of thing but given we're exclusively run by opportunistic cunts you can only acknowledge it as a stroke of shite lighter than other versions of brown. Good luck to the lad btw, seems a genuinely good egg from interviews I've seen etc.
midds
Aye, being £2.5m better off as a result of this means fuck all tbh. Money into the kitty, in the past, would have meant something. Once Ben Arfa and/or M'Biwa get moved on then it'll work out that we've broken even on transfers in and out. The extra TV cash will remain untouched and we'll glide on without any focus or drive. It has to have been touched, surprised people still haven't cottoned on to this yet, when you sell a player for £10m you lose around £4m to taxes and loyalty fees. So if you then go out and buy someone for £10m transfer fee and more in signing on bonuses you haven't just broke even at all.
