Smith has linked up with his team mates extremely well so far.

It has become very obvious that Alan Smith should play for us as a striker rather than a midfielder........hope Big Sam agrees.

Big Sam is mad! Zog on the right and Milner on the left, they are both trying to cut inside and get the ball on their good foot, fucks sake get them back to their sides of the pitch and lets win this one 3 ot 4 nill :D

Why is N'Zogbia on the right and Milner on the left? WTF?!?!?!?!

Most good teams do that, you don't see anyone questioning Ferguson when Ronaldo and Giggs swap sides do you?

It's different when your wingers are world class and far more ambidextrous than ours!

Giggs is one of the most one footed players going. Not remember when he used his right foot to sky the open goal versus Arsenal a while back in the cup?

Defence once again sounding better. Coincidence that Taylor ain't playing?

not at all. You could slot either taylor or rozenhal in and they'd do just fine.

Smith will have to do more in the second half if he wants to take the position upfront away from Mark Viduka.

Just curious, but do you have Viduka posters all around your house and a "Go Viduka!!" t-shirt?

Been really impressed with Smith so far. His link-up play has been superb, I also think Enrique has had a very good game, been good defensively against Arteta and made some good passes upfield.

Btw, how many free-kicks does Faye give away? Seriously, he is just like Ameobi.

Smith has played well up top. Anyone else believe Butt has been utter crap apart from the goal. I'd like to see Emre replace him later on.

Good first half from us, Martins and Smith linking up well but both should have scored with good chances, Butt's goal was something you would have seen from Bergkamp, Faye motm so far, Cacapa has been reliable, Enrique has done well up against Arteta, Beye's had a quiet time so far as everything has gone through Arteta down their right, Milner and Zog have had a few moments but haven't been involved enough so far, Geremi has steadied the ship in the middle and Given hasn't really been tested apart from an error he made. Feel free to tidy this post up mods.
