From the fist round only the Arsenal v Fulham game is not covered live... That's 9 out of 10. And of the mid week games only Wigan and Boro are not covered. I'm stoked... So I'll be cheering the lads on with ya.

Hey OzToon, is that option with Foxtel IQ ? I've got the normal digital box not the IQ thingy...

Yes mate, as noted, just hit that red button and all the games appear and you choose between them.

It's brilliant, what more can a man ask for... Yup no early nights anymore.

YES! YES! YES! :celb: :celb: :celb:

finally we get to see the games! They better keep this up forever now, this is awesome!!!

Hell Yeahhhh...I love you Rupert Murdoch  :smitten:

I'm expecting to see a midfield three of Butt, Geremi and Smith, which might not have pace, but it'll certainly provide a decent cover for the back four.

The interesting thing is Little Sam is apparently keen on switching Bolton to a 4-4-2, so we could see both sides playing with unfamiliar lineups...

One of the training ground photos would suggest that in yesterdays training match one team had a back four of:

Edgar Ramage Cacapa Enrique

with Viduka lining up in the other attack.

That suggests Viduka starts, with three of the defenders being Carr, Rozehnal and Taylor, and with either Huntington or N'Zogbia at left back.

Looking at other photos, the weaker team during the training game were wearing white bibs. On that evidence, it would seem that Smith and Milner start, but Shola and Solano don't.

Today's team/formation depends on whether N'Zogbia, Martins, and/or Huntington have been picked. Given their absence from yesterdays training pictures, I'm guessing we want to hide that information from Bolton.

EDIT: I'm talking about the Getty pictures by the way, not the ones on the official site.

Sam Allardyce admits he will have more trust in Bolton's players than his own Newcastle team when he returns to the Reebok Stadium this afternoon.

Newcastle's manager, who only left Bolton in May, yesterday explained: "It's a unique situation to play your first game of the season and think, as I will, that both teams are yours. I'll be watching two teams playing each other that are mine. I think I'll just about remember I'm the away manager."

Mind games?

Really looking forward to it. THis will be an utter classic. Sam must know the opposition inside out, but releasing this 'trust' thing to the media is a clever move as it will gee up our lot.

Article is very negative - written by Louise Taylor who has an anti-Newcastle agenda.

However, in context, Allardyce is challenging his Newcastle players to follow his game plan.

Is that definite? I fancied Enrique at least for a spot on the bench like.

I think we'll get a draw from this one. We'd probably get more but the fact that the players will still be getting used to Sam's ideas makes me think there will be mistakes. Not having Enrique to come in as a specialist left back could be a problem. Other than that I think we'll do well.

1-1 for me.
