Chelsea would not let Ballack go to Madrid, Ballack is ahead of Sidwell.

Sidwell is 4th or 5th choice.

aye for 2 places, sidwell will play double figures this season and run the risk of being weighted down with medals at the end of it.then he'll consider getting regular games.

1) Man U just signed for £3m

2) Cant see them going to Old Trafford to watch him sit on the bench

Discussing contract terms and thought they'd watch the game, possibly?

Also could be a loan deal...

Mort might not be only watching the teams, he could also be taking in a match at Old Trafford so that he can compare it with ours next weekend to see how two clubs with big grounds treat fans.  I wouldn't be surprised if he's looking at facilities so that he can get ideas for improving ours.

I would imagine stuff like that is being looked at by Mike Ashley's other board appointment Steve Hayward as he is the commercial guy.

Why when it's more than likely that they're just there to watch the match (let's face it, that's the overwhelmingly obvious explanation, especially having played in the NW yesterday), does it become more than likely that they're there to sign a player in the minds of people on here?

Each seems as likely or unlikely as the other to be honest. Mort going to watch a match which has nowt to do with us because he's in the northwest? It's hardly a major trek to the north west is it.

Has it been confirmed they are actually there?

Course it has man, she wouldn't make it up.  :crazy2:

There was a John O'Shea rumour a while ago but more than likely they're just there to watch the game.

No chance, they aren't there for a mutual love of football.

My money is on a Silvestre deal.

No chance they are there to just watch the game? Or no chance for O'Shea?

Nah, Man Utd won't sell O'Shea.

Why would they go to a game to watch a pair of teams we aren't playing for months on their day off? They could sit at home and watch the game.
