  1. Past hour
  2. ^ I do agree and have said this for ages that the biggest missing piece for is our 4th CM (who can play as an 8 or 6) isn’t an older head who offers the experience to slot in and play meaningful minutes. I do not think it needs to be some flashy 23 year old attacker; I think it needs to be a relatively unexciting name or a player who’s best days are past him but is a capable player when called upon. From an experience standpoint point - I believe in Dan Burn we have that at CB (who actually is a class CB and an incredible leader for us), and at least a few seasons ago, we had that in Callum Wilson (great leader, greater striker at that time). Trippier fails into this bucket.
  3. This is a bit annoying like. Closing in with £10m apart in valuations and the player still on his hols suggests there's still a fair way to go like. I guess it just depends if you believe that line that the club is confident they can get this done.
  4. Maybe it was just out of courtesy that we spoke to him about his future, it might not have been a realistic thing for him to stay on some sort of zero-hours contract.
  5. Whether you think he should have or not is obviously a different story, but he did annoy people with the way he went on at the time, there's no two ways about that.
  6. Agree with all that. I just don't think he did or said anything that ruffled any feathers.
  7. Heard a rumour yesterday that his house in Darras is either up for, or about to be put up for sale. Looks like he's away.
  8. If we get JP that closes the door on Xavi Simons I guess... It was nice to dream
  9. Found this interesting from The Transfer Flow newsletter a couple of weeks ago. They took a look at some additional stats for Joao Pedro as he's a bit of a hybrid striker/attacking midfielder: Suggests that he's fairly unique as someone who both gives and receives a high amount of line-breaking passes in his position. Could really see it working with him playing just behind Isak and being the link between him and Sandro/Bruno
  10. Having Pedro would open up quite a few tactical options as well as allowing us to rotate. He could work in our existing 433, gives us the opportunity to play 4231 or go two up top. I can see why he’s such an attractive signing. He solves a lot of potential problems.
  11. And then you consider Trafford baiting the press and hitting an accurate pass up field.. beautiful
  12. Gotta love how these threads have gone from ‘worrying’ to mass excitement in the last 24 hours
  13. Him leaving to get game time isn't what was weird and I think everyone knows that like.
  14. Aye, I have a feeling it’s a Ornstein agreement reached/Fab here we go kinda day.
  15. FWIW I wouldn’t make that first criticism, if a player has a contract they can do what they want. I don’t even think Dubs ‘shouldn’t’ done what he did, it’s up to him. But I don’t have to like him. TBF if it wasn’t Man U I probably would have reacted much. And because he moved to sit on someone else’s bench and have even less chance of starting games. But I never expected him to play for us again. If he’d gone somewhere to play it would’ve been different.
