“Are we ever gonna be good mate? This the eighth time I’ve see wi lose here, I’m fucking heartbroken’’

Up early with the bairn, mind racing already. Glad I’ve got 18 holes of golf to distract me in an hour. I think we come out the gates storming and overwhelm them with the help of the crowd. They’ve not won here for nearly 4 years, let’s keep it that way this afternoon! Come onnn!

Regardless of the CL jeopardy and the "6 pointer" element to this match, Chelsea are one of the most irredeemable, hideous clubs out there. If not the most. Aweful, Aweful club, fans and players. Always have been. Good team to beat. - Today
-
I agree with most of that but clubs having and not having CL does change the landscape. I’m not saying our blue chip players are going to jump ship straight away and Tonali going to Man U is laughable. But large contracts and the CL dangled carrot will tempt some.

The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Conference League (at least)
ExiledGeordie replied to Rich's topic in Football
We still have every chance of getting CL and can certainly put Chelsea away today 💪 I think in the short term I’d be really gutted if we didn’t get CL from where we’ve been sitting and the ramifications on what we might be able to spend, who we could get and who we might lose with a summer of “Isak’s going to…….”. Assuming we were to get Europa league, when the dust settles that combined with winning our first trophy for 70 years and itll still have been a fantastic season. We’ll still sign some qualify players this summer. Sometimes you have to go back to the misery of Ashley and Bruce to remember what things were like. This is where I’ve been at the last few days. -
I'm not in the equation but I literally can't pass highlights on YouTube and not watch it again, like it feels like I would be out of line to see it and not watch it lol, will never get sick of it, legends to a man every one of them!
-
Should just do a Parish all summer with no intent for sale. Fuck you Jim you tramp!

Not banking on this anymore like I did last season.

Shitting Bricks. -
As someone who hates back 5 systems in general I wouldn't mind It here. Terrified of our lack of pace in transition against this lot. Big ask of Bruno and Sandro though.
-
I also have ambitious plans to watch Kiera Knightley have a shite but hopes are fading of pulling the deal off.
-
And Brexit Jim will declare its unfair that we don't accept his first offer and should just release the player to them.

Trafford saves all their pens in his last game for Burnley before joining the mighty Mags.
-
If Man City win the FA cup.

VAR should’ve intervened and it was a red card. You can argue all day about what he ‘meant’ to do but it’s what he did that counts. You thrust your elbow at chest height or above at an opponent then you get what’s coming. Reminded me of VVDs shoulder charge to Gordon’s head. Another nailed on red. But, not a peep from VAR on either. Why am I not surprised anymore?
